My style is often anti-style.
If you get a chance, check out the personal page I am working on.  It contains a link to some of the music that has adopted much of my poetry

Figs from Thistles

First Fig

My candle burns at both ends;
  It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends --
  It gives a lovely light!

Second Fig

Safe upon the solid rock the ugly houses stand:
Come and see my shining palace built upon the sand!
                         Edna St. Vincent Millay

My style is often "anti" style.  I truly enjoy the placement of words in a musical style that would have them land in an order that communicates something.  The thing that I have always loved about creating poetry is that I make the rules for what I write.  This allows my creative nature to delve deeper than a mere use of the words themselves.  It allows me to let them rest in my heart until they take on the life of that which I would express and strategically place them across the canvas of my imagination.

I feel it is important that poetry not be imprisoned by its rhyme and reason.  While often, I do mimic the styles and rules set before us, sometimes it is just necessary to break the rules to get the effect I am looking to express.

I am a self proclaimed wildflower, I bloom where the wind blows me.  I am that pesky weed that you can't stop from growing between the cracks in your sidewalk  .  My real name is Wynette.  No, I wasn't named after Tammy, tho many people have called me that who couldn't remember my name.  And no, it does not offend me.  I have been called much worse  .

I am a poet/lyricist wannabe musician who tries very hard to keep the guitar strings from buzzing or going thud  .  My greatest challenge in life, is learning when to keep my big mouth shut.  I have great respect for all people from every walk of like, and I even appreciate the more caustic of personalities.  If given the choice of sitting down to lunch with Donald Trump or an old homeless man on the corner, I am taking my sandwich and sharing it with the old homeless man and listening to his stories.  Not that The Donald wouldn't be interesting, zzzzzzzzzzzz , but I prefer hearing what the street people have to say.  Sometimes, I have found great wisdom coming from those that society would prefer to silence and ignore.

My biggest goal in life is to be genuine regardless of how that appears to the world around me.  I simply want to live the best I can and when I fall short, admit my wrongs openly and go on about the business of living better than yesterday and I insist on bringing a bit of fun and humour with me even in the worst of circumstances.

I write because I want to make a difference in the lives of others.  I don't expect my words to touch everyone, but I am simply happy if something I write affects anyone in a positive manner, even if it is only to make them smile.  I have a strong spiritual beliefs, but I prefer not to plaster them on the walls.  I try to live in a way that my beliefs speak for themselves without me shoving them down any ones throat, much like my Dad did when he was walking the earth.

I like Mr. Bunny, so here he is in search of the Miss Bunny of his dreams

This is Mr. Bunny.  You're supposed to copy and paste him onto your homepage so he can start his world domination.
I have decided that it is time to think about changing my author's page and in so thinking, I have decided to create an archive of the old one.  It is afterall, part of my creative collection

    Thanks. I figured instead of just adding to the page until it grows into oblivion, I would just save it as is in case I want to use it again later. I am hoping to end up with a set of them, to suit the mood of the moment
