Okay I've had about enough! Im really getting pissed off at this whole bush and katrina situation! Why isnt Bush out there helping out the people in New Orleans but rather down fighting a war that needs not be faught? We have people litterally dying on roof tops and in the streets and god knows where else and where the hell is Bush? You wanna know where he is? Ill tell you where he is, hes carrying out a war thats what hes fucking doing.
Correct me if im wrong, i mean like really, correct me, did we not catch Saddam? Do we not have Saddam in custody? If we do then why the hell does Bush insist on keeping the war with Iraq going? All hes accomplishing is distroying two countries when he could be helping out the dying instead of being the one killing them.
I am but 15 years old and i am trying to do as much as i can to help, and i am not the only one, my friends and i am more than certain other childern around the country are trying to do the same. It is pretty pathetic that children care more about the well being of the survivors of Katrina than the president does.
Another thing, i live in canada just so you know. I think that not only should the US be helping but us as well. I mean aren't we labeled as 'The Peace Country'? Should we not live up to this name and be helping New Orleans? Sure its not part of our country whatever but that shouldnt matter! Everyone should be helping them right now!
My heart goes out to all the survivors of Hurricaine Katrina, and god bless tham all, I hope Bush gets his ass in gear pretty damn soon and gets water and food and the meds out to the people who are in dier need of them. I was watching the news last night and while they were interviewing this woman (a survivor) she went into diabetic shock while filming. It was horrible! We need to get insulen out there and everything else that is needed and we need to do it soon! We also need more places for them to stay, the houston astrodome is full and the situation is not getting any better.. God Bless everyone!Im sorry if this sounds a lil harsh but this is exacly how i feel and I can get pretty mad when it comes to politics.

Yes i agree, when this column was written we had not sent out any aid yet. I am now aware that we have and that we are all helping but i still think that Bush may not be reaching his limits when it comes to helping as of now. Hopefully soon.

I couldn't have said it better! So true! Bush is a terrible president! I agree that he's way off with this war (always has been) and he should be doing more to help with the hurricane relief. Unfortunately, you're asking too much of the guy. *sigh*.
As a fellow Canadian, I can say that we have sent some help. Maybe not enough, but some, none-the-less.

I agree with you, I mean.. Our Teacher said that other countries have offered to help but our government has it in their head that we can do it on our own... now that may be true but.. im sorry.. if someone offers to help.. finacially, physically, emotionally, who gives a shit if we can do it our selves, theres only so many of us willing to help and I'm pretty sure that the people down there could use alot more help then what we're giving.. Like,... Oprah and Julia roberts ( i was watching the news lol ) their helping and faith hill got a TON of stuff... but.. Still we should take the help for as long as it's given.. it doesnt make us weak as a country.. in just means we're smart enough to know when enough is enough... great write though

Wow thats just really low of him not to end his vacation, it rea;lly really is! 50, 000. Thats horrible! Most of those people could have been saved if he woulda gotten his ass over to New Orleans and done something, after he got back from his vacation of course *rolls eyes*, other than just fucking visit! Like what the fuck is a visit going to do? Thats not going to save any one! Like come on! Tnx for reading my column and commenting, im always happy to see others views on this.

i agree with you. so what, is killing people in another country more important than helping the dying in his own fucking country? that's the way it seems. he went on vacation while the hurricane was hitting and stayed on vacation. he didn't come directly back. and did you know that 50,000 body bags are being sent down there? the superdome, once they get everyone out, is going to become a morgue. there are too many dead bodies. we don't need water, food and meds down there soon - we need them there NOW! we don't have any time to waste. a local chaplin that goes to my church might be going down to help with search and rescue, and she said soon it would be just search. i'm not sure if she meant that the people she'll be looking for will be completely missing or just dead. and i just was talking to my mom and she said that there are parts of the city they haven't even gone into. this is not going well. bush needs to get his ass in gear faster. he's been down there all ready, but he needs to be doing something more than visiting.

As a diabetic, I could not agree more! The politicians are just sitting on their lazy arses and pretending they are doing something by being in the camera's view(after helicopter sent them out)...I know that they had notice, so why didn't they evacuate ppl from these towns like they did for Mt. St. Helen's eruption? I will tell you why...cuz they are ignorant! They are also too busy living in the lap of luxury, so they are sending money to other ppl to get the work done. If you want to help out, you have to do the work too!
Bush made another dumbass speech today(sorry for swearing and for being mean but I dislike him to a certain extent)...he always uses God's name in them. Now forgive me if I am wrong, but isn't there a law against religion and state? Not all ppl are Christians like him...(i am jewish) so he can stop bringing his preachings into his speeches!
It is time for a change...don't vote his brother in if he runs! Also, nice point made here! I love how you are trying to get your point across. If only there were more people thinking like you! -
I don't know how that ass got elected once, let alone the second time. You or I or a million other people could do such a better job. I suggest you read or watch some stuff from Michael Moore. Peace...
