The First Chief Ahjeed by Amicus

The first inhabitants of North America face tragedy and change as the ice age retreats. Chief Ahjeed faces evil and finds love as leader of his people.

Chief Ahjeed, son of a Chief, finds himself unprepared as he faces events beyond his comprehension.

Should he challenge the Legends of his People and the advice of his Far-See’er and lead his tribe to a different future?

Will the Spirits, the guiding lights in the night sky approve or bring down the wrath of the Gods?

Follow the quest of Ahjeed the Chief as he struggles to make decisions that will change the life of his People and all those who follow.

Review

     by Danna Hobart

I had the privilege of helping to critique this amazing story and I found it enthralling. A very unique story with characters that you really grow to care about.

Going by both the book cover and the review this is a book I would definitely enjoy.I love history of all periods and isn't everyone fascinated by Native American culture?(I'm in serious danger of becoming a book worm here lol.) Amicus,I look forward to buying and reading this one.All the best to you in your career as a writer.

At the risk of repeating the above comments I too found the prospect of this interesting , the whole native American story as a whole is thought provoking, it always to me seems tinged with sadness , What i mean is , the fact that they had a whole world of freedom to roam in then were invaded fought against then ultimately ripped off and sent to reservations with poor land and no heritage , it kind of makes you feel guilty that we today embrace all these freedoms we have , yet those poor people were subjected to such horrors .

    interesting ... good

Looks like it would be very interesting ... I am not into books about history or well historical periods of time and their going events. I think the style of writting is very good though.

I read the book and I really enjoyed it. Amicus explored some very interesting human characteristics in ways that opened my mind. I was really able to imagine the lives these people lived.

I've read lots but nothing from this era, probably something I should look into. I was left to wonder if this evil was the classic cowboys and indians or something more. Take care and God bless.

OH I love things with Indians, my Grandmother is half Cherokee. I have always had this love for southwestern style, but even as a child before I found out about my grandmothers mother, I loved looking a books with pictures and staring at them for hours and hours. When I got married a good friend of my father is Indian, lives in Canada, gave us a hand made marriage wall hanger, made out of wool, feathers, beads and leather, it is so beautiful and I have lots of sand pictures, anyways, love this intro, really pulls you in.

Historical romances are the best, especailly well written, in depth psychological ones like this is. Praise to the Indian tribes as they are a great people.

this sounds like an interesting read...i guess it will have a tragic ending...it's so wrong what the white man has done to indigenous people everywhere...i'm from Australia & the white poeple came & killed as many natives as they could, even when they were friendly.

Horus 8...Jean Auel's Clan of the Cave Bear and the series of 'Earths Children' books were indeed the inspiration for this write. Volume two is complete and in final editing and I hope to have it published in early fall.

    Thank you.
