The Eyes Have It

When I look at your eyes, when I watch them,
I can't help but see Jesus in your eyes. That is true beauty.
Last night I saw some things in your eyes...

Wonderment

When Mark was telling of his conversion experience,
your eyes were full of wonderment at God working so
dramatically in Mark. I could see the awe and the
praise in your eyes.

Delight

When you were looking at Anita's photos water skiing
your eyes showed delight in the fun that Anita had.
Your eyes showed your were amazed that a person
in a wheel chair  would do these wonderful risky things.
You were delighting in the pleasure that God
had given Anita, one of his special children.
You were rejoicing with those who rejoice.

Compassion

When you were telling me about your concern for Betsy,
your eyes were full of compassion. I could almost see
the tears as your heart and soul were crying for
Betsy.  I'm sure I saw in your eyes what Jesus' eyes
had to look like when the text says in various places
'...he had compassion on...' I often see Jesus'
compassion in your eyes. You truly empathize with
someone; you feel the hurt they feel. Your eyes show
it.

If you want something to teach your son, teach him this:
A man gets excited and aroused looking at a body, but
what he sees is DEAD. When you look at a person
with their mouth closed, the only thing that is alive
that you see is their eyes. Their skin, the flesh, is DEAD.
Teach him to look at a woman's eyes to see her soul,
and then he'll know if she is truly beautiful.
Teach him to look at a woman's eyes,
to watch them and to notice if he can see Jesus in those eyes.
When I look at your eyes, when I watch them,
I can't help but see Jesus in your eyes. That is true beauty. This is what I saw in a friend's eyes last night at church services.

Wonderment, delight, compassion--the openness of life--is such blessing with no thought of remittance. Yet it never comes back empty!

    excellent~

They says eyes are a mirror to to soul
So many saying about one's eyes and another is a person can't look you in the eyes if he is lying he will look down or away...yes eyes tell a lot about someone....and I think you have captured it very well in this poem
