July 7, 2005 will forever go into History Books now for the People of London, between the hours of 8:51 am and 9:47 am four explosions rocked the city to its core. The first three took out subway trains or Tubes as they call them in London, the fourth ripped off the top of a double-decker bus.
At 9:49 London's Underground was shut down. So far the death count has risen to 50 and 700 injured. Imagine they haven't seen brutality like this since the Blitz. Through the of all this Prime Minister Tony Blair flew in from the G8 Summit he was attending in Gleneagles Scotland. Where he can say they amassed a victory in securing aid for Africa and Palestine but they didn't agree on global warming will have more talks again in November.
The G8 Summit-
Seen something on the news and wondered what in the world are they meeting over now? Who, what and when and where? Here is the scoop.
The Members of the G8 Summit are
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
The French Republic
The Russian Federation
The Federal Republic of Germany
The United States of America
Japan
The Republic of Italy
and Canada.
The European Commission is also represented ( this is 25 other member countries that are all represented by one person who is the President of the European Council
The purpose of the Summit is to secure political commitment on Key Global Issues . What goes on sets the standard for Power and is actually Key in getting Aid to poorer Countries and Nations (i.e. Africa). As well as the Global Fight against Aids/Hiv, they as well are working on getting and cleaning Nuclear Plants in Russia with funds for that. They help erase the debts of Poorer Countries by creating what they called Heavily Indebted Poorer Countries Initiative ( HIPC) it works for stopping Terrorist funding.
They first met in France 1975 when President d'Estaing invited everyone informally to discuss the economics of the world, there is no real structure it is up to the President of the hosting Country to put on the summit. It changes each year.
This time around-
They set aside 50 million dollars in aid for Africa as well as canceling their debt owed on the promise of that all children be enrolled in Primary School, free basic health care, as well as working on the trade for Africa, more peacekeeping forces there, as they put it to "prevent and resolve conflicts already in Africa".
Afghanistan is getting aid in the form of Reconstruction, Anti Drug forces.

8 Year old Shasta Groene finally returned home after being released from the hospital into her father Steve's care , Shasta's Mother and brother Slade 13 were slain by the man who held her captive and molested her for seven weeks, it is also thought her brother Dylan 9 was murdered by Joseph Duncan.

The Deaths mount in Haiti as Hurricane Dennis builds steam, five have been found so far there and 3 in Cuba. It has Florida under a state of Emergency and the beaches closed as far as Alabama, with both states braced for impact as well as people being evacuated in Louisiana. Mississippi who is announcing something sometime today. ( May God Get you through this you all have my Prayers)
Italy will begin pulling Troops out of Iraq in Sept depending they say on the countries climate ( are they kidding?)
Even Saddam can't keep a good lawyer, his lawyer quit claiming that his (Saddam's ) Daughter wanted the Americans more in charge, thinking they will free her father.. ( AS IF!!)
A US Navy Seal is missing in case you didn't know in Afghanistan and there are some terrorists that claim to have him and will kill him in a few days but yet the Taliban can't back up the information regarding the Soldier.
Two more Seals Killed in Action from the team that the missing Soldier is from and one was rescued. (No Names released)
A Helicopter that was sent to rescue the missing Soldiers was taken down and all 16 aboard were killed.
