I have read a lot on here on people bashing God in the name of Religion or lack there of. I have also heard a lot of crap that God is the cause of violence and we are better off without him. Well its reached the time for me to say enough is enough! Here is the plain truth. Lack of faith or belief in God is the reason for violence. Peoples skewed views of God, their own personal interpretations of God and his word are the reasons for violence and strife and hunger and hatred in the world. My belief is simple and the one every one should have. I believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy spirit. I believe in the word of God written in the BIBLE, not in yours or anyones elses interpretations of the word of God or how they think we should worship him. God will provide all we need to follow him. He sets down the ways we are to act and the path we are to follow in the Bible. If everyone would learn that and follow that then there would be peace. Instead everyone has to come up with their own agendas and the way they think things should be done and then the try and say that they were just following God or others just don't want to believe in him at all. I have said my piece on this matter as you will note in the title of this article this is an editorial. For you that will not get that. This is my biased opinion, albeit the truth, therefore you do not have to believe me. This is not up for debate and although you are welcome to comment my opinion and the truth of what I speak will not change in anyway. Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy this article weather you agree with it or not.
This column was written back in December of 04 and unfortunately I had myself been provoked into retaliating and was angry and hurt at the things I was reading in allphilosophy. So it does come off as intollerate and angry. However it does still represent my views on God and Religion. I just want to state specifically I believe everyone is entitled to worship 'God' in the custom they are for. I am simply say don't let someone elses interpretations of God guide your faith. Please seek his answers and what he intends for you. Not what others think should be God fearing ways.
God Bless

Thank you. I know a lot of people felt I was being ignorant and confrontational but that wasn't my intent I was just stating my beliefs and wanted people to know it.

I can see by your very strong words that you are strong in your faith. And that is good. A direct communication with the Trinity is what this world lacks!
Great write. Heart felt and powerful! -
Its so sad the people are like this, Only if they knew they only breathe cause of our Almighty Father. I pray unto the lord that these people can see the light. I dont wish them bad, cause I do feel sorry that they cant find the room in their heart to let the Lord in. Thanks for writing this...it really needed to bed done.
Thanks again,
Tammy

I'm glad you replied on my comment. Your reply is much more calm than your article. I agree with your statement above, however I remain faithful to me, I'm proud and I respect you for respecting my side and beliefs. Thanks.

I am sorry that you felt you had to retaliate. I did not mean that I do not respect others religion. What I meant is that I felt if everyone stopped with the interpretation of the word of God and looked more toward asking him to help us find understanding of the word as he meant it then we would have more unity in God. there would not be so much conflict as to how everyone should believe. I say you can worship God how ever your culture or so believes in I just think it would be good to start with a core system of beliefs and not let anyones interpretation into what you personally believe. Thank you for your comments.
God bless

One thing that struck me in your little spew of religion is this: quote you: " My belief is simple and the one every one should have." quote you: "Instead everyone has to come up with their own agendas and *the way they think things should be done...*" If that isn't contradictory, then I don't know the meaning. You think everyone should believe your way, but yet you point out that we, as others, always think of different ways things should be done -> There are millions of different types of religions, and there is NO unity in the different types. I feel very strongly in my opinions and I respect others. However, when you are ignorant of your own words--it’s hard to respect. I admit that I don't know a lot about religion, that is my own ignorance for the time being of commenting on this subject; but, it is my choice in the fact that I want nothing to do with it; it's when I am told that I am WRONG in having my own beliefs in the matter. I quote you "He sets down the ways we are to act"; the way you're trying to force your religion onto other people is ridiculous and insulting, to me, an inappropriate way to act. God is misunderstood, should he exist. He'll always remain so. You want to keep things "simple"...you're just another type that causes more conflict--the provoker and I, the retaliator.
