Chris Harman

It brings great sadness this morning to hear of the death of Chris Harman in Cairo this morning following a cardiac arrest.

I have fond memories of Harman at the various Marxism festivals i attended, including an in depth discussion we had on the relevance of revolutionary leftist politics this July. He sat next to me at the closing rally and he signed a copy of Zombie Capitalism for students behind us.

I plan on writing my own personal obituary to Harman in due course. A true towering figure of our international socialist epoch and it's completely shocking that he is no longer with us.
