two quotes from Jorie's poetry below do not resemble her beautiful formatting

    --------------------

I cannot fail, this Saturday, early pm, hurling myself,
wiry furies riding my many backs, against your foundations and your
    best young
tree, which you have come outside to stake again, & the loose stones in the sill.

    Jorie Graham "Sea Change"

and as for the great mantle of
    individuality (gleaming) &
innocence and fortune – look up: the torturer yawns waiting for his day to be
    done – he leans against
the trees for a rest, the implement shines, he looks up.

    Jorie Graham "Sea Change"
    ----------------------------------------

Jorie Graham is our greatest living writer, the shaman of our age. All else is as mist. This will be remembered as the dark age of poetry, and devolution, the age when human beings lost their place as things worthy of life, with one blinding light of exception.

I heartily concur, my Baby. Thank you for sharing her newest, and for gifting me with her collection. As you know, it's inspired at least 20 poems from me so far. ♥

I'm glad, Kathleen. There is genius raging out there and we must include them in our circle of fire, as well. Not long ago, Danny gave me her book, "The Dream of the Unified Field: Selected Poems 1974-1994", the one selected for the 1996 Pulitzer Prize in poetry. It's inspired me to write at least 20 of my recent poems so far. It's very intelligent and yet, very approachable writing.
