  Mairi bheag shared a link for her awhile back on one of her journals and I looked up different links for Andrea Gibson and even sent an admiring email to her. But yes, Pamela, your contest did indeed inspire me to post this column, so thanks for the reminder. She IS awesome, is she not?

    She is. We were fortunate enough to hear her read a couple of years ago and I cannot begin to tell you the impression it left on us. Completely remarkable. The more who hear her words the better!

      I saw you'd mentioned that in your contest notes. What a fortunate accident that must have been. One of the links above is to an index of her videos on Youtube - she's got quite a few on there and I've listened to them all. I know several people, specifically just rob, who do presentation poetry of this sort...they are much braver souls than I am. She's quite talented. And witty, too. And on "I do", she sings a great tune at the beginning, as well.
