the english translation, to link to on my author's page.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, who was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell, and on the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father.
From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen

I grew up a Baptist so I never recited the Apostle Creed. I wouldn't have a problem reciting it either. The word Catholic means universal, so it refers to the universal church of Jesus Christ. But you already knew that didn't you ZachP. Thanks for sharing it with AP

I am a member of the Baptist Church, also; and I've never recited it in church. But I believe that we all have our different ways of worshiping God, so as long as we stay within scriptural guidelines, it doesn't much matter how we do it!
And yes, I recently discovered the true meaning of "catholic", so I have no qualm using the phrase
Thank you, dear poet!

I believe this too Zach. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful.

Of course, Katie! I'm sorry if my comment came off that way, it wasn't intentional!
