so for english, we have to write dialect poems, about our voice. we've been studying ebonics and spanglish and broken english, and we have to write a poem depicting who we are in however we speak. so i don't know what to do. i speak in standard english and it's supposed to be different. but i asked and i'm allowed to do prose poetry, and use connotations or my voice when i write. but i don't know how to do that so it's not too personal and it's understood cause other people at my school have to be able to understand it. and i'm worried they are going to be like 'i don't get it'.
so i need help..
also what is my voice? what does it come across inmy writing?
cause i have to depict it. and i'm allowed to use connotations which is a big part of prose..
i'm stuck ...
help?
