The book is The Prince of Tides. This book was made into a movie and starred the incomparable Barbara Streisand as Susan Lowenstein and Nick Nolte as Tom Wingo. The movie is truly wonderful albeit sad. The acting is undeniably some of the best in the business. The book? Surpasses any thing I have ever read. As an Author striving to become published in a field ( or sea ) of millions just like me, this book takes my writer's breath away! Literally. I'll read it over and over again and again because the quality of writing is so extraordinary and beautiful.
It has made me sadder than I ever could have imagined being while reading a book. It has made me laugh out loud in a room full of people. It has given me such exquisite tastes of imagery in my minds eye and sparked full on words of attack on this very key board!
The book is singularly and simply ASTOUNDING and highly, highly recommended by this writer to ALL who seek to find the majesty in written form!
This is a review of a very note worthy book. The author is Pat Conroy and the reason for this review is simply because this book is an amazing example of what true written, artistry can be!

Of course you can borrow it! Once I've finished reading it! LOL It's a little lenghty but I keep waiting to be bored with it and 400 pages in I'm still enraptured by this Author's ability to tell his story and tell it well! I am a firm believer in the book is ALWAYS better than the movie and though I truly loved the superb acting in the movie this book takes the cake and runs with it! Your going to like this one! If not I may have to eat it! -
Sounds...
wonderful. Since you are my sister then you can let me borrow the book now that you have my curiosity peeked. I've been reading a lot lately but to be honest the books have disappointed me. I'm sure you remember Silhouette Romances. They used to be some of the greatest romance novels. Whatever did I see in them? lol! I have two books by Stephen King halfway read (don't ask) but can't get back into them. I haven't read anything by Pat Conroy.
Anyway, you make this book sound very intriguing.
