We the People

I'm sick of watching news coverage of the Vietnam War.
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

I would like to point out to the reader at this point, that the above statement is first and foremost ONE complete sentence. It is complete, and defined by ALL of the components contained by it. Understand? It cannot be subdivided into segments and applied equally, in other words. It has to be taken as ONE complete thought.

The next thing I would like to mention is that it is THE preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America. There is no other supportive statement for the constitution, THIS is it. That's all. THIS is the intent of the constitution of the United States of America, anything that we do as a people that falls short of the complete summary statement contained above, should therefore be considered less than the intent of the original founders of the entire document.

Arguments? I suggest you go back to literature class and figure out what a summary statement MEANS to a document. Some begin with them, and some end with them, but a document without a summary statement is merely documentation that was collected to support some summary statement elsewhere, and has since been separated from that summary statement that created the need for the document in question.

THAT being said, I find it absolutely intolerable, and egregious to the point of nausea when I hear stories such as "human rights" stories relating to prisoners of war, as though Darth Vader and the evil empire had swooped down on these poor farmer class civilians of the eighteenth century and was now further impoverishing their human remains with incarceration. Rubbish.

Yes, I said RUBBISH. The people we are at war with are experts in camouflage, just like their trainers, they know how not to be seen for what they are. They refuse uniforms, cowards of the typical sort who hide behind women and children, and murder unarmed civilians in the shadows they can find to hide in. I will grant you the notion that there are innocents in our prisons overseas, absolutely, probably turned in by some jealous suitor who was interested in the other man's wife or property. (Don't tell me they aren't capable of that sort of thing over there...every society has it's dogs). Even so, those incarcerated are NOT covered by constitutional protections being flailed around in the name of "fair and equal treatment" by idiots who apparently are illiterate.

"Well THAT'S harsh" one might say...I beg to differ. Please re read the statement I opened this column with, it is the summary of the intent of the Constitution of the United States.

"We the People of the United States (which they do NOT belong to), in Order to form a more perfect Union (which union they are trying to destroy), establish Justice (which to them means placing bombs by the road, flying airplanes into market centers, etc. 'god be praised' and so forth), insure domestic Tranquility (not even for their own), provide for the common defence (which we are doing by taking them to task), promote the general Welfare (WHOSE general welfare? read on), and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity (these are neither ourselves, NOR are they our posterity, though they have opportunity TO BECOME part of 'ourselves' they do as yet have no interest in it at all - and therefore CANNOT be included in the "general Welfare" clause), (And so "We the people") do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. By the way, that's a period at the end of the sentence. Nothing added. The intent being that if you mess with us, we will execute everything in the stated mission of this sentence, and the document to follow to ensure that this sentence stands as the MINIMUM allowable condition under which WE THE PEOPLE (and our posterity) will agree to exist.

Now, explain once again to me why it is that we need to change protocol in prisoner of war interment camps simply because the spoiled rotten inmates don't want to have lunch with the Red Cross...please? The Red Cross and other humanitarian groups DO NOT NEED TO INTERVIEW, DATE, OR OTHERWISE SOCIALIZE with prisoners of war in order to ensure humane treatment, they simply need access to the camps and prisoners. Which they have. So...fuck em. Don't change the rules, beg for them to talk nice to the social workers...fuck em. Treat them like a spoiled rotten five year old on a "time out" and let them sit in their corners quietly, or roaring at the tops of their lungs for all we care, and give them their food three times a day, their bath at night, blankets to wrap up in, and turn the lights off for them so they can sleep all comfy cosey, as if we weren't doing more for them than we are doing for OUR OWN HOMELESS PEOPLE ON OUR OWN CITY STREETS. Ignorance is bliss isn't it? It is absolutely ignorant and reprehensible to provide more for enemies of this great nation than we are providing for US AND OUR POSTERITY.

Period.

Now that I'm done with the reasoning behind what I'm going to say next, I'm going to say what I came here to say:

Our enemies have learned more about propaganda than we as a nation have learned about war. They have learned that they can break the American will by killing their own babies and children and waving them in front of news cameras as if it was GI Joe himself that did it, and we'll buy into and hate ourselves for it.

Please everybody, let's remember, THE UNITED STATES HELPED AFGHANISTAN DEFEND ITSELF FROM THE RUSSIAN INVASION THAT TOOK TEN YEARS, AND FAILED. This then, is the thanks we get for being there in the first place. We have asked that they turn over the people that blew up the World Trade Center buildings and took credit for it, and they have not. We have asked that they join in with us to capture and prosecute the Taliban, and they have not...no more than lip service to date, cowering under the US Military might only as much as necessary so as to avoid arrest themselves. I remember watching a story on sixty minutes during the Russian conflict that showed a school room full of elementary school age boys (girls weren't allowed in school then), and on their computers (every elementary school child had one), the word "Osama" was floating around as the screen saver. One has to wonder, after twenty to thirty years later, who's running the country over there anyway?

I'm not buying the notion of an 'independent Afghanistan' apart from Osama bin Laden and the Taliban, not nearly as readily as I'm buying a hand full of goat herders turned world terrorists through opium profits who are intent on collapsing as much of the world system as they can, simply because their leader was thrown out of Saudi Arabia because he couldn't wrap his head around the fact that he was just another son of a construction magnate, and wanted more. A very well educated man, who understands the gullible, exploits them, and rallies their delusion into blind support of wholesale murder. The group understands international invisibility, market worth and variables, military weaponry, and religious fanaticism.

Do we really need to go to their interment camps and weep over three hots and a cot, along with sustenance pay for their families, as if we were taking something from them that was much more than what they intend to take from the rest of the world?

Remember, these people don't care where, or how, all they care about is getting it done before the six o'clock news eastern time, so they can once again show up in their flowing white robes and St. Paul style flowing beards to preach about how 'god' is with them...a break from the ritual army uniform and AK47 ornamentation they normally espouse.

So now you're probably asking, "okay smartass, you have it all figured out, tell us how to get out of there" That's easier than saying 'burn the poppy fields.' They are funded in large part by opium trade, else why in the hell are they there? Kill the heroin trade, burn the fields, contaminate the soils (yes, contaminate so they don't simply wait for the next growth cycle and start all over again), and flush them out of their mountain condos...then finish the damned oil pipe line they've been keeping out of the news for thirty years, and let a legitimate Afghan government make money from utility taxes on oil product to Europe over land through it's country, and bring the ridiculous price of gas in Europe finally to a reasonable cost.

Or, pull out and wait till the next time they pick another target...but I don't want to see crying mothers and children on the god damned TV next time if we do, I want the news media to own up to their own bullshit twist on things and say plainly "we're responsible...we called them militants, and insurgents, when plainly they are barbarians the likes of which this planet has never seen before, and in our careful hand wringing coverage of the 'unfairness' of how their supporters were treated, we have enabled them to do this great horror once again."

As if we should give a rats ass who the interred don't want to talk to...bullshit. Let them pout. Let's quit worrying about treating the mange on the rabid dog in the back yard, and shoot the god damned thing before it claws it's way through the screen door.

NO, I'm not interested in giving up any more of my liberties and freedoms because there's a rabid dog in the back yard, I want dad to shoot the god damned thing so I can go back out an play. Fair enough? Fine, YOU go pet the fucking thing, and get back to me on how that worked out, k?

    I think I've changed my mind...not about the prisoners, about Bin Laden. I don't think he's expatriated from Saudi Arabia, because in the grand scheme of things, given the Mosad, the CIA, The British Secret Service, name a dozen others...there's no way he'd still be alive today if he wasn't attached to some government or another. My guess would be that he's attached to OPEC, sent to Afghanistan to stop the then Soviet Union from running their pipeline from Siberia through to eastern Europe. We don't like imperialism to begin with, so we jumped in to help...nobody gave a crap, and it all went on into history, except for Ollie North, you know, the Marine nobody was proud of except real Americans paying attention to real events as they were unfolding way the hell back then. Ollie North knew about Bin Laden way the hell back then, and testified about a high dollar security system he had installed because of him...why? Because BL was an international player, endorsed with enough cash to play the game along with any G8 country, and Oliver North saw first hand what they were capable of and how much they hated America...probably because we gave them oil drilling and refining technology, and asked them to return the cost with future something or another, and now they can't stand the agreement...much like the Palestinians can't stand the agreement that allowed Israel to become a nation. But that's a whole other bucket full of misrepresentations and lies even today, so screw it.

    I once knew a guy who had eight children...his reason? He told me once "we need more good players on the field." I disagree with his methods, but I agree with his statement. Misrepresenting everything you can possibly misrepresent creates bad players, dishonesty will always corrupt everything surrounding it. Truth is, the middle east wanted oil technology, and the radical religious leadership saw the money being made, and threw out the leadership that brought it in, and blamed it on their women having a real life for the first time in centuries. (But you don't hear the NOW calling them chauvinists now do you? why? because they're chicken, and that's why they let Monica take the fall, and didn't do a damned thing for Jessica Flowers either...but that's another bucket full of misrepresentations and lies...so screw it). Seriously folks, how long do you think this can go on?

    I haven't read this. Still not in the mood. Not at all. I expect I agree with it, though, and, judging by the title, I will imagine my educated response:

    Place a shovel in their asses and teach them what it's like to have to dig that far from home.
