1. Scribus-- an excellant opensource desktop publishing program. I use it for several things. One of the things I like to use it for is to format content for webpages.
I do my formatting in Scribus and then I save it as a PDF file then I use another program called "Some PDF to HTML converter" to convert it to an HTML file before I post it online

The feature that I love about it the most is that it allows you to link your pieces of writing together like webpages on the web are. That makes it easy to organize information. Wikipad is also very good at helping you make outlines

6. Ywriter- I dont use this one, but I've read good reviews on it. It is a word processor designed for writers who like to write stories. It does automatic backups, has text to speech capability, word counts and statistics and much more. I haven't tried but it might be useful for managing large collections of poems too.
