Controversial Contests On Ap

Picture characterizations of my Savior mocked, and used for a contest, makes one feel we have stooped to new levels....Should it be Bhudda, Confuscious or any other person worshipped would there not be outrage?
A poem in question..
http://allpoetry.com/contest/show/2450543?ok=1

Rules for contest content seem to have hit new levels when it comes to this picture prompt. So someone has a chip on their shoulder, as God does not seem real, or where they worship....Maybe Jesus hasn't failed, maybe the methods in how he is presented has failed. Maybe some of us who represent Him have failed or the institutions that present Him have.

The blame God syndrome is alive and well, and it is more than disgusting to view....

Dear James...Thank you for reading as I have just met you as a poet and you had made an outstanding impression already...I am to love those who do not agree with me, and for those I have not agreed with I will be taking this person of my ignore list, and others who I had not agreed with about an issue. They know my stand...Bless you for sharing... Rosemary

    HEALTHY DEBATE

It should never surpise anyone that the world chooses to mock. Unbelief is the easiest of ideologies to adopt.
No, GOD is not mocked; in that no amount or type of mocking can detract or subtract from His being or majesty. Human mockery is all in vain.
It is the unbelief and rebellion behind the mockery that is to be pitied. Indeed, someday "every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ IS Lord." How sad then for those mockers who never repented yet have seen Him face tio face; who will have chosen for themselves a Christless eternity.

Thanks for sharing sis. I think you do make some valid points. And sadly there is a certain tolerance over what truly wounds others. Which gets very confusing at times. You did the right thing sharing your feelings and thoughts.

    Dearest Jin

Appreciate your lengthy comment my dear sis.. I agree with almost everything you have said...except the opening lines to begin with...Jesus does have a sense of humor, oh yes...But, I am not sure about him laughing right along with those who mock Him...as we remember, when they mocked Him on the cross, He looked at them and forgave them, and if He did, I can..
All the rest I believe with wholeheartedly...I did not come to judge...My effort was to show my support for the Lord...or do I stand in with those who would mock Him
You have won the argument...dear Jin....Thank you so much for your comments...For faithful are the wounds of a friend.....That is meant that when a friend needs to tell you something helpful even though it may hurt....It is good for us....I do thank you so much....Love as always...Rosemary

"Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do."

My higher power is not so petty that He cannot abide being mocked. Sure He doesn't like it, but to a greater or lesser degree, He has His hands full of so much more. If such were the case. . I think this world would be a different place, certainly.
This is not a battle between you and I, for we've never had an argument. I mention my beliefs rarely, but as this is a column open to feedback, I felt I had no choice but to speak up and try and help.
I dont want you to think I was suggesting You were wrong in the way you felt.
I would never presume to do such a thing.
We're all in this together, and not a single one of us gets out of this alive.
I love you Rose, as a sister and a friend, and would never say anything to hurt you. If I did, then again-Im sorry.
      Love,
      jin

Who says Jesus doesnt have a sense of humor?
Who says He doesn't laugh right along with those who mock?

You're not alone in your beliefs, and either are the mockers.

If you know God and Jesus,
and I believe you have a sincere and devout relationship with Him-
then the only reaction another's blaphemy should have on you is empathy, and understanding.

Remember, we are not judges, God didn't ask any single one of us to take His job over.

We don't know what another person has to go through before He reveals Himself to them. We could never testify to the pain another has felt, in his or her life.
He knows just how low we've all had to stoop, how filthy we had to make ourselves, before we admitted we were "dirty" .
He didn't come to save the ones who're already saved.
The crazier the events of the world, and the more diabolical-
the more you see of this.

We poke fun at things we do not understand, or we think we're too far inferior to deserve.
We may do it because we think it's cool.
(This is a Max story in the works, my lovely, and sweet friend.)

Let's all sit back and see how He will work His glory to the benefit of all.
Those folks who posts these contests are angry, indifferent, or are too "grown up" to understand.
That hardened outer shell has GOT TO BE knocked off,
    before they'll hear His voice.

(Remember, He wants us to have a childlike faith?).

It takes what it takes. And love em anyway. God told me that Himself.
And no, Im not being funny.
    It's what He said.
Take it from someone who'd mocked and denied Him for more than half of her life.
    Pray for this person.
Mockery is a cry for help-obviously.
Help comes in different forms for all of us.
    Love to you always,
    Jin

It is not God that many are mocking but those who claim to represent him and do uncaring and sad deeds that say I represent a loving God yet I do not really love others ...Today I have experienced such sadness, yet I will refuse to Let these sad indivuals confuse my love for God ....Jesus is my role model not some fallible human who claims to be so christian in their ways....Today i had stones thrown at me and what did christ say to the righteous stone throwers ...that my friends is up to your interpretation and understanding of the compassion of Christ..

God shall not be mocked, even if humans choose to try to mock. There will be those who follow the spirit of Lucifer to no avail. God has the victory already. Do not let their mocking ways disturb your praise and worship. Those who mock anyone are simply insecure in who they are. Those who mock Christ may someday become Paul. We never know. Let it go. God can no doubt handle the small stuff.
