Pareone (Created Form)

A new form I created for those who want to write form poetry but get confused by rhyme, meter and syllable rules.
This is a form I created that should prove fun for all to write in despite their level of understanding of regular form rules.

Pareone is an unmetered, non rhyming form with no set syllable count.

The form takes it's name from combining "pare" = to remove the excess layers, leaving the bare flesh exposed, and "one" for the addition or subtraction of a word per line. As such poems in this form must express something deep and of personal importance, following the simple pattern below:-

Up to 5 stanzas in length, each progressive stanza adds an extra word per line, beginning with 1 word per line in the 1st stanza. Stanza length must also be equal with the number of stanzas used. eg: 4 stanzas with 4 lines per stanza.

Variations may be used - including:
"reverse" - where each progressive stanza has one word less than the previous one
"mirrored" - where both standard and reverse variations follow each other maintaining a constant theme.

Example pieces:

"New Attitude" - Errant Panther

"How" - Amaranthine Lover
