Up Date On "What Should I do?"

Dearest Friends,

Firstly I would like to thank you for all your thoughts and advise.

You have validated for me, the choice I had in mind was the right one.

We have been to the vet, and he tells us that Jasper has a heart murmor in which we already knew, but on the scale of 1-5, 5 being the worst, he is a 4.

The vet has given him a weeks supply of tablets for his heart.

They will slow his heart rate down to the normal amount of beats per minute.

The side affects to these tablets is that it makes the animal thirsty, which does not worry me, simply because I know he will be drinking a good amount of water, in which case he has not been doing in the past.

We are waiting to see how he goes while on these tablets, and what happens when he finishes the course.

So far he has been great, no more fits, only the 2 that he had previously.

His breathing is normal again, and he has more energy and is eating ok.

He is alot happier and is still my shaddow lol.

We have decided to see how he goes on these tablets, if he fits once again after the course is finished and he survives the fit, we will keep him on the tablets so he lives a near normal life, but if at any stage he looks like they are not helping him, then we will go ahead with our decission to put him to sleep.

Since he has been on the tablets he is his old self again, and it's so wonderful to see, his eyes are bright and full of life.

I will keep you up dated as time goes by.

Once again, I thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Much love and happiness to you all.

~Anne~
