I have always been greatly affected by the written, spoken, and sung word equally, for I love them each equally, and each for their own special charm. The amazing thing about the written word, however, is that if you have even only a stick or your finger, and some dirt or dust, you can write a poem...isn't that just the most wonderful thing?
I feel that poetry should come from one's heart, soul, emotions, and the many secret places we each keep within us. Poetry is a fabulous way to express oneself, no matter what the content or context may be. There is -always- something to appreciate in a poem, from the longest Brown poem, to the shortest poem full of short rhymes told to a mother to write down by a young child, not yet able to write with their hand.
I will not put ways to improve poetry here, if such opinions are wanted, please, let me know, and I will create a special column for that purpose. I am one who, unless asked, will not criticize someone, unless they are doing harm to someone else, or themselves. That's just the way I am.
