The Aspects of Love

The Aspects of Love...
What is love? I ask you. You can describe love in a million ways. The following lists is only a few...

First is the greatest love of all.

The love of our Saviour...which can be described as worship, respect, admiration, trust, understanding and wanting to be like him...The miracle of all time.

Then we have the love of our parents.

Love for our father and mother.  Which I best describe as respect and admiration.  Wanting to be like them in so many ways. The kind of son or daughter they want.  If we have understanding from them...we can be that devoted child.

Next is the love of a brother or sister.  We want to be the person, that they can look at and say that's my brother or sister.  And they say this with pride and admiration...

Now we come to the time when we break away from our close family ties and start a life of our own.  Some choose to follow the life of Christ...Feeling closer to him and much surer of eternity.

Some choose to be a woman or man of the world.  Meaning career, politics; government or social, and the rest to raise a family.  Regardless of which life we choose, it is all based on love.  The love to help other and to prove we need love.  To be a sucess and be admired by everyone.

Lets now go into the marriage circle.  The love of a husband or wife.  I will describe as understanding and the need for each other. We can keep this on a basic level by applying the, "Golden Rule".  If we do this, love in a marriage will never grow cold.

Then the love of our children.  I ask you is there even one man or woman who does not want his child to be the person he could have been.  This is love but there is one bigger love.  It's letting the child be what he wants .  And to accept him for what he is...not what we could have been.

Lets now discuss the love for our neighbor.  Can you describe this as keeping up with the Joneses?  Of course not.  But respect, and not being envious of what they have, but be thankful for them.  For gaining where we cannot.

How about the love of our friends.  Do we accept them for who they are?  Or do we forget the proverb, "The wise man, thinks twice, before he speaks once". Sometimes we judge them to quickly and discard them without reason.  Then we have regret and remorse.

Next there is the love for nature and for, "Our Country".  Which no one can deny.

So I beg you to remember the bible when I say, "Love one another as thyself".  Do not judge to harshly.  That is not love.

"Be Thankful and Love"...
