Tel me if this is right

I want to know what to do
Ok, here it is:

1. Me and my fiance combined make $800 after taxes working part time jobs (same place)
2. We are both in college as full time students
3. I have to go full time college and work only part time in order to keep my health insurance (Type 1 diabetic, so it's a no brainer that I have to keep it)
4. Fiance's mom wants us both to pay HER gas bill (we live with her) which is 80 bucks a month AND buy her groceries (roughly about $300) AND pay the rent bill ($550 a month)
5. We would still have to buy our own gas (for transportation to and from work) and buy our own meals if we go out to eat with her or fiance's grandparents.

Our pay checks come every other week and we only get $200 dollars per pay check to spend. How the hell can we afford to pay her bills and for her rent when we can't even afford to move out and get our own apartment?

Someone tell me if this is right for us to have to do that? I agree paying for some of the groceries and helping with ONE bill but we can't afford everything else. Not possible.

HELP!!!!!

  • yeah, I agree with Dragon. Its not right you should be paying for it all. The same thing happened tt two of my friends during their last year of school. She was 18 and had to move in with him and his grandmother, and the grandmother made her do all the cooking, most of the cleaning, and she still had to pay $100 a week even though she did everything.
As Dragon said, its all compromise. Explaining how you feel and if there can be a cheaper way to do things.

    Good luck though

I would suggest trying to work out a compromise. Go in half on certain bills, like rent since she lives there too, or maybe a thrid as its between three people, same with groceries, figure up a budget, if you havent already for groceries, stuff you NEED taking priority, junk food coming in last as a want.

Also figure up gas money, see how much you can get back and forth to work on. I can put $5 in my car and that will roughly get me to and from work twice, of course my car is a gas guzzler but learning to have a light foot helps, and if I can do it in steel toes so can you. It's all about budgeting, sometimes you just have to cut things out, learn everything you don't need, eliminate it, and keep only the bare minimum. Something I've had to take to heart recently.

Anyway thats my two cents and you've probably done or thought of half this crap anyways so I be goin now yo.
