Spanish & English Poem

This is my friend's first poem. I have his permission to post it here, & I have chosen to give you the poem in its original form, as well as in English. He hasn't titled it, so send me some suggestions, & I'll run them by him. If you want background, check out his All Journal page. Not the one here.

His poem in Spanish:

Déjame llevarte de la mano
Hasta mi rincón añorado,
Para danzar a tu alrededor
Evocando un rito de amor.
Déjame hechizarte con mis labios
Y hacer de mis altos tus bajos,
Te cantaré con alegría,
Para encender la noche fría.
Déjame besarte tiernamente
Para que puedas sentir claramente,
Las estrellas centellearán sus votos
Y la Luna se enamorará de nosotros.
Déjame guiarte a la alborada
Luego de perderte en mi mirada,
Para aprovecharnos del momento
Y dejar que nos acaricie el viento.
Déjame mecer tus cimientos
Y capturar en una botella tu aliento,
Para usarlo cuando me falte la vida
Si alguna vez he de sufrir tu partida.
Déjame detener este instante
Para demostrarte que es importante
Abonar con pasión el camino
Que te convenceré de recorrer conmigo.


In English, now:

Let me take you by the hand,
To my yearned corner,
to dance around you,
Evoking a ritual of love.
Let me bewitch you with my lips,
and make my highs your lows,
I will sing for you with joy,
To light up the cold night.
Let me kiss you tenderly,
So you can feel clearly,
The stars will blink their vows,
And the moon will fall in love with us.
Let me guide you towards the dawn,
After you get lost in my sight,
so we can seize the moment,
And let the wind caress us.
Let me shake your foundations,
and capture your breath in a bottle,
to use it when I’m lacking life,
If I ever suffer your departure.
Let me stop this instant,
to demonstrate that it is important
to fertilize, with passion, the path,
I’ll convince you to tour with me.
