I recall, a few years ago, seeing President George W. Bush standing on a battleship
in the Gulf wearing a flight jacket and announcing to the world and the parents of the soldiers that he would take good care of the disabled soldiers who served our country. That he would take “good care” of our disabled troops.
The following week, I received my usual shipment of medicine from the Veterans Administration along with a bill for over $340 for “co-pays”. Before Bush came into office I received my medicines free because I am a service connected disabled veteran just like the troops Bush was referring to in his famous “Battleship” speech.
It appeared that his administration was working on changing The Veteran’s Administration’s policies on medical care for Veterans as he was giving his speech.
The US government is now confiscating part of my Veteran’s disability pension every month to pay for the medicines that I always used to get for free.
I now buy my generic medicines from Walmart for less than half of what the Veteran Administration charges me. I hear stories they are also putting time limits on the medical care for Veterans with severe lifetime war injuries.
I for one am ashamed.
Maybe some of that bailout money, that the greedy bank CEOs are already using to fill their own pockets with, should have been better used for medical care for our disabled Vets.

This is altruism for the many as well as a personal rebuttal of wrongful deeds penned here. Shock and awh on the loyalties of our service members like yourself and many others. We are maybe throw backs to the 60's generation of concerned citizens who see what's wrong. Most can't get past complacentcy. Maybe miss spelled. I'm worn old and tired myself. But will go down swinging if need be.I'm such a little anarchist still. No, a patriot.God love ya!

Yes,for starters that shouldn't even of taken thought to impliment into action. I believe our Government needs to demand it back. I protested that Wall Street fiasco venimently in letters fired off to them. And Obama's new bailout without considering every penny of it needs to go only to American jobs. Americans aren't lazy louts wanting handouts. That's the greedy bankers and stock brokerage firms. But the return of monies to Wall Street isn't likely when a lot of it went abroad to foriegn banks who lent us funds for the dam illegit Iraq war. Bush screwed this nation into poverty and obliterated the laws of our Constitution maybe perminately. But Clinton/Gore's Nafta/Cafta unfair trade agreements did too. This ill concieved trouble started decades ago. And even if a crashed economy world wide doesn't leave us defensless in avioding a new world dictated order in the works. And our leaders were to admit to being hand puppets for a select few. Someone/in charge needs to stop the buck somehow in open dialog with the American people and just say no to the hidden agendas. We/the people will support that 110%. Like Patrick Henry said,"Give us liberty,or give us death". For it's not worth living under terror and tyranny as slaves.

I'm on that soap box like daily. Get knocked off of it frequintly too. But even if no one seems to hear,I keep shouting louder. Ha! Somethings seem fruital. But you might want to check with the Veteran’s Administration because some things apparently are a changin! To quote Dylan. More monthly benefits you maybe entitled to.
