I need your Advise...
Well, You may not know of me, because I'm not real talkitive when it comes to "Chat rooms" or "fourms" or the sites "chatterbox", which is posted on the right side on most of the pages of AP. You may not know me because of the fact that I'm fairly new here to your society... Sence I pretty much failed to be actively social with other poetry posting sites, and the fact that Im on at least once every day for 2+ hours and dont talk to anyone, or go in the chatroom for less than 5 minuetes.... I've decided to Create my own "Honor Code", In which I will follow and use as an attempt to gain "popularity" to my poetry, I could care less about the popularity of myself, but It is seemingly hard to get your poetry awknowledged** if you don't or don't like being an actively social member to the site. Because of this, this can create a less-of-a-good-experiance.... And from all the poetry posting sites I've tried, so far this one takes the cake, even without membership.... (which I should soon be recieving anyway) and well, I wanted to know sence Im new, maybe a couple of you helpful users, (cuz the people in the fourms are stuck up, via. a reason why I stay out of them) can direct me in some different directions and some other ways to recieve awknoledgement from other users with out having to be too social around the site... Please help me, from one poet-in-training to other poets (better or worse, whichever, I just need some direction...) Thanks Guys, and dont be a stranger, I may not go on most of the Social Places on the site, But I usally and always Respond to a comment twofold, and I allways respond to a message.... again, Please help, thanks, -- Jake

Hello Jake
Welcome to allpoetry. The best way to get your poetry read and acknowledged is to be an active commentor. If you read and comment on other member's poetry they will return the favor. Not all will, but far more than just posting your poems and hoping for a random comment. No one on this site, with the exception of the greeters gets a notice when you join or post a poem unless they have you on their favorites list. The only way they will know you exist is if you read and comment on their poems.
Let me know if you have any questions. You can always send a ticket in to the Help desk and a greeter will be more than happy to help you.
