California Train Trip

This is just a slight update... That's all.

So, it turns out that (totally unexpected) I will be going to California THIS WEEKEND. I was planning for next weekend, but this weekend was good too! I was so happy. My mom said that I was more than welcome to come this weekend too and she will be there with my stepfather to pick me up. That made me want to go even sooner!

I'll be going via Amtrak. Amtrak is awesome. Looking at my receipt here, it says it'll be a 29 hour and 40 minute ride. I know it seems like a very, very long time. I know you couldn't possibly imagine how bored I'll be. But it is fine with me. The train is the best way to go (in my opinion).

There is nothing more relaxing. I love listening to music as I'm sitting by the window and watching the scenery. I love the people on the train. They are usually more friendly then those that take planes. They always seem to more alive. The people who take planes are usually not talkative at all. They are boring!

Like I said, I love staring out the window and watching the scenery. There is nothing more beautiful then watching the trees, the Willamette River, the Pacific Ocean. It's all gorgeous. And looking out the window helps me think, it clears my head. I cannot explain it very well. It helps me write my poetry, it helps me relax.

I also sleep a lot while on the train. That's the other thing. I OVERSLEEP. Which is probably not good, but then again, I do have a lot of sleep to catch on. SO I will be bringing a cozy blanket and pillow with me. I hate that they don't provide riders with that sometimes. Oh well, they don't have enough money for that. He he.

It will be a long ride, I understand that. People ask me why I do it and doesn't it bore me to death? Yes, sometimes I can get restless, and I may feel like pulling the hair out of my skull because the things I'm doing is getting boring. But I will deal with it. If I am writing poetry, and all of a sudden run out of things to write, I'll pull out my little crossword puzzle book or something. I always think of things to do... Even if it includes sleeping.

I will love this train trip. I will be writing a grip of poetry, and clearing a lot in my head. I will become stronger. Every time I am on the train, I feel stronger, I feel independent. It's weird and I will explain it no further. Amtrak is awesome. I always travel Amtrak.
