About the Book
It's abstract, Inspirational, and Revolutionary- A gutsy collection of poems. It celebrates art while at the same time making a parody of self-discovery. Sometimes, you just have to lose yourself in poetry. These poems vary greatly in their style and depth, but there is a core voice that will resound from the pages- the voice is of hope. Despite the melancholy feel, it works its way into your spirit, if you truly let it hear you. My book intends to inspire you to do what you have to do to survive, and by all means- keep celebrating!

About the Author
My name is Gabrielle A. Bryant-Gainer. Yes, I have a hyphenated last name, but I think my parents wanted to keep both their last names. I usually just go by Gabrielle Bryant, but only when I can get away with it. I am a nineteen year old woman, living in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. I have been writing seriously for around five years. I was first published in an anthology by forward press when I was sixteen. The subject was Teen Expression, and getting published inspired me to keep submitting to magazines. Finally, I decided, "why not just publish them independently?"
I listen to music when I write. I am inspired often by dreams, art, songs, religion, and politics. I am also inspired by friends, family, and even the random passerby as well. Recently I've been feeling a need to write poetry that motivates instead of depresses, especially towards thinking in new perspectives. I am motivated by poetry that relates to peace, bettering the earth, and abstract views. I enjoy authors such as Allen Ginsberg, Anne Sexton, Emily Dickenson and other beat poets like Sylva Plath, Pablo Neruda, Kerouac, as well as today's poets like Adeena Karasick. I also enjoy the many poets on the internet.
A new book coming out by me.
