Pure as purest gold
White as the whitest snow

Innocent as a lamb.

As every trial strengthens you;

As you can do all things with Christ.
For every cloud, even the darkest one,
Has silver lining that portends sun.
And would we ever value its light
if we had never even seen the night?
So you stand pure, shining, robed in snow white,
Washed by Jesus' blood, in His fire purfied;
In you, His light unfading, through His Word bright.
Redeemed and innocent - all thanks to the flawless Lamb.
One of my closest friends, Mariusz (pronounce the 'sz' as the english 'sh'...he's Polish) wrote me a poem...his first serious poem ever. He sent it to me as part of my surprise birthday gift ('surprise', because I neither knew of nor expected it)...

Dear Rachel..if any gift was needed any words needed these were what you needed to hear..I see you robed in white..a saint that has known trials and suffering, but you are not overcome, you are victorious...a divine instrument in the hand of God... Of all gifts this is what you needed, and God saw you got it through your friend!Wonderful words! -
