Welcome back poets, for another battle of the pens. This week we will switch things up a little bit. Each of you will be placed into groups, again. But, don’t get all worked up just yet!!!



Now, this will not be a “collaboration” per se. There are a few restrictions and guidelines that must be followed.



Each group will be assigned a VERY “heated argument topic” and will battle with the words of your poems to prove which of you are right and which are wrong! Your assigned topics will be listed below:


RULES:

1. There will be no bashing of ones’ opinions and beliefs. This is a battle of the pens, and the battle ends there. These are some heated topics, and of course you both will have two very different feelings and opinions but, hey we are all entitled to that in life. I have many friends that may believe in different things… but we respect and love one another without that being an issue… and I expect all of you to do the same. Therefore, just for example, if you are given gay sex to battle… one may believe that people have a right to have sex with whomever they want, whilst the other may feel it is wrong and against a higher power… NONE OF THAT MATTERS. We are all people, and I am going to tell you all right now that if anyone goes on to bash another poet, they will be leaving this challenge without warning.



2. Only one link is to be left on this page from each group! It is up to you as a group to decide which poet will leave the link and how you will link the two poems together. Be creative! How your group displays the pieces will be up to you. Keep it poetic. (Presentation is over half of the battle..)



3. LINE LIMIT: EXACTLY 15 lines per poet. How you present your arguement is up to you.



4. Rhyme or no rhyme… it is up to you.



5. each poet MUST write a poem!!



6. If you have to research or get personal with your write then please do so.



7. Please use spell check.



Communication is the key to making a successful entry this round. Talk between yourselves. If it does not appeal to the eye… It is not good enough. Make it interesting, and make this a heated argument. BE CREATIVE!
