New layout and graphical artists.

Did you once make backgrounds for the fun for this page? So did I, and I am not alone when I am saying that I am quiting.
Or maybe your customer made one is all weird and you cant make it work out, join in.

I decided to make this Column to force Kevin to open his eyes and see that people aren't happy about this change at all.

 

There is full panic among the artist that I've been talking to, including myself. I tried changing a few of my backgrounds but it doesn't help much. The only way I found working was make a 860 pixel border background, that only I could view with out scrolling.

 

 

So lets gather up everyone who isn't pleased and sign under that we are complaining and we wish it to be improved.

 

 

 

I am not alone in dropping both graphical programs and gold/silver membership. 

 

 

 

Also, I've noticed that Kevin has added one of my backgrounds with out giving credit, I even stated that I needed credit for the background link here!

    There's actually a way I use to remove the bars. The only problem is that you need firefox for it. There may be another way for other browsers but if there is I don't know it. Anyway, http://allpoetry.com/board/topic/268610635 , at most that should take 10 minutes

    And I agree, the old background was more stylish, this new look makes this site feel stuffy and suffocated.

    I myself have a complimentary paid membership for being a teacher, but I can understand with all of you who are stopping payments because of the changes.
    How gay are they?? I make my own backgrounds too. At first when I logged in after the changes I thought my widescreen laptop was the cause but apparently not.
    Here's hoping that your column here helps Kevin come to his senses.
    That's not to say that some of the changes are great. There's a lot of good features popping up... just not all of them. lol

    Although I am not happy about the effects the change incurred, I AM happy that Kevin is attempting to make Allpoetry a much better and user friendly site. Like all changes, sure they may be some things to still work out, however, at least the attempt is being made to make the site better.

      "So we like it the old way, but the 12 year olds first visiting the site are like ewww it's so year 2000!" <-- Yes, we do like the old way better and what 12 year old is even a seriouse writer?!

      I fear these changed are being done for the wrong reason!

      I have tried, but every solution we find in the group either only works for that and that screen or you have to change all your backgrounds.

      I've tried changing a few of mine to see and it just looks weird with a left border hanging loose.

    ya can't say I enjoy what I am hearing, but I don't really have much of a problem but then again I haven't made any backgrounds in a long while. Well im on your side none the less. Freedom to choose is the best freedom of all.

    Two weeks ago I was traveling and using borrowed computers and I was astonished to see that on different computers, different things seem to happen on this site. On one borrowed computer, I could not choose any background at all for my poems. If I wrote a poem, that gray background was all I could get. And clicking on applause was all messed up, too. I could not applaud any comments. I think it has something to do with your computer's cookies. ????

    My computer at home lets me do everything nicely.

      There is nothing wrong with my cookies and so on. All these problems are shared among all custom made background users.
      It has to do with the new layout. And just to check I've viewd a lot of pages on everything from 800x600 to my standard 1440x900 and everything in between looks okay but on my standard relution it looks like mess, to be polite.

      No, they get more or less split in two and joined in again close to the middle and it looks horrible! I am using a very wide screen so everything is off center and looking weird for me.

    I'm not happy.. thought that maybe the bugs could get worked out. not sure anymore. frustrated, very much.. I doubt very much if I will continue to make bgs.

    im confused about it, and upset...i dont kow what to do..and like i spent alot of money (to me) to buy a year of gold, so i can play with bg's and my poems, and now it suxxs
