at six a.m,
an empty bed
i have creative reasons
for goose flesh
onion eyes unlock
a star
leaving –
a chance to weigh what i have.
finally
a shot at the art of healing.
a lazy day
crawls under my clipped nails.
poetry
the cheat sheet of time.
from a bag of yarn,
the right color to sew happiness
your memory.
a lighthouse.
modern ships.

poetry the cheat sheet of time- what a fantastic concept. actually, each line is so creative and unexpected. you pack so much meaning in so few words, and i love that about your poems.

And yes, why is this not a poem?
I undestand it as a column also, but still,
it would make for good poetry.

I like this. But why a column? This is a poem. heh

Thank you

Well, it's a column mostly because the poems aren't really related. I wrote this lightly.

Brilliant. I will remember these things and
I will smile more. If not to just be closer to the eternal clock that is forever ticking, always above my head. A great column Diana. I am most happy when "I am leaving – a chance to weigh what i have."
Thoughtful.
