Boys..

Boys, they sure are something..

I am mother of shampoo boy..

Not too long ago my son (a year and a half) decided to go into the bathroom (he recently learned how to open doors..) and drink half a bottle of shampoo.  Oh my was that a scare. I mean imagine me cleaning and all I hear is my son coughing and crying and I go into the bathroom and find him standing IN the bathtub with his pants around his ankles and the bottle of shampoo tossed on the bathtub floor. I thought I was going to have a heart attack or something because with my daughter I NEVER (I mean NEVER) dealt with this stuff. So there I am standing in the bathroom about to cry and my son crying hysterically and gagging and I call my husband not knowing what else to do this is how our conversation went
"Hello"
"Hi what should I do?"
"With what? Why is Kevin crying is he okay?"
"He drank shampoo what should I DO?"
"SHAMPOO???? And you called me?? Call a doctor, poison control, something"
and he hung up the phone..

That didnt make things ANY better. So I called the closest doctor here and he said to take him to the ER.. THE ER Oh my gosh so I took him (along with a sippy cup full of milk that I MADE him drink) and thankfully we didnt take too long there. They said that everything seemed okay, he seemed okay and that we could go home. So on our way out my son looks at me and says "Mommy, yucky" and I couldnt help but laugh then he went on to say "Mommy, I wanna cookie" (cookie was his first word...) so we bought our cookies and went on our way. I think this is just the very beginning of it.

OH! And the next day I had the first appointment at his doctors and when we got there they said 'heyyyy its shampoo boy' so thats what we shall call him from now on

So for those of you that wonder where the heck I've been.. heres a clue.

Just to give you perspective- it's my daughter who is the magnet toward trouble, while my son is the model child... (I should say 'was'- daughter is 18 and son two years older...) guess which one has the creative flair?

    YAY!

Ha ha, that's fantastic. I think your Kara and Kevin are like our oldest two, Susan and Mike. Sue was very laid back and easy all the time and Mike never slowed down - until he would fall asleep eating his dinner. But, it was mile a second for the rest of the day. Yep, just getting started, Malzy.

    Love ya,
    Poppy

Ah, that is a cute story...I mean besides the visit to the doctor...that was scary but since Shampoo Boy is ok, we can all laugh. Ok, I have a fun name for your son so I can use that when I ask how he's doing. Now we need one for the daughter...she eat or drink anything funny sounding?

    Ignore me...I never grew up.

Fun story, and yes, I see you've been busy the last couple years or so. Welcome back. Can't applaud, the Lords of AP won't let me.

Lol.. no my daughter is pretty calm.. if I seem upset about something her brother has done she'd smile and say "Its okay mommy, hes a boy" which at that point everything makes sense
