"Parry, parry, thrust, thrust....good!"
- Robin Hood, from Robin Hood, Men in Tights
Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you were also meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought.
- Fellowship of the Ring
Frodo: It's a pity Bilbo didn't kill him when he had the chance.
Gandalf: Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many.
- Fellowship of the Ring
William Wallace: Every man dies, not every man really lives.
-------------------
William Wallace: Lower your flags and march straight back to England, stopping at every home to beg forgiveness for a hundred years of theft, rape, and murder. Do this and your men shall live. Do it not, and every one of you will die today.
-------------------
William Wallace: We all end up dead, it's just a question of how and why.
- Braveheart
"In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran cast vicariously as both victim and villian by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish the venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition!
...The only verdict is vengeance, a vendetta...held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose. So let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
- V, "V for Vendetta"
"...But there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do once you find them..."
- Jim Croce, "Time in a Bottle"
"The man who views the world at 50 the same as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life."
- Muhammed Ali

"I'm not a slave to a god who doesn't exist...merely a servant of the one God who does."
- Me! (Inspired by a quote, which happens to be solely the part prior to the ellipsis.)
Why not? I have a section of quotes on Facebook, and several have one here...I might as well add some of my favorites (some even by me!). Hope you enjoy, as always.
