Fighting Men was written by Miss Cicely Fox Smith and mainly consisted of poems from the pages of Punch and also from The Spectater, The Sphere and The Windsor Magazine http://oldpoetry.com/oauthor/show/Cicely+Fox+Smith
It was later republished by Elkin and Mathews in 1919 in a compilation entitled Songs And Chanties: 1914-1916. This book included poems from 2 other Cicely Fox Smith publications. Their contents are listed elsewhere.
