OPEN BOTH OF YOUR GRAPHICS TO BE REVISED IN PSP9
OPEN PSP9
Click FILE _ OPEN
Find your background HIGHLIGHT it click OPEN
Click FILE _ OPEN
Find your picture HIGHLIGHT it click OPEN
Now you have both graphics on the edit page like below:
Move the background out of the way for now
We will be working with the BACKGROUND first.
Go ahead and move the picture out of the way to the other side of the screen

HIGHLIGHT your background so the system knows which graphic we want to work on.
Click on the EYEDROPPER and click on the color of your background to select that color
Click on the PAINT BRUSH
With the paintbrush COLOR OVER the picture that is on the strip completely
We now have this below

Click on EFFECTS TEXTURE EFFECTS BLINDS
Fill in your edit blind box exactly as shown below
And on the color, choose black
We are finished with the background for now
~_~_~_~_~_~DRAG your PICTURE into place at the top left of the screen
Click on IMAGE RESIZE
Fill in exactly as the picture shows below then in the circle
click OK
We now have this below
Lets buttonize it
Click on EFFECTS 3D EFFECTS BUTTONIZE
And fill in as the picture shows below and click OK

We are now going to put the picture on the background
Drag your background to a good place to work on it
Click on the PICTURE to highlight it
Click EDIT COPY
Click on the BACKGROUND to select it
Click EDIT PASTE PASTE AS NEW SELECTION
And position the picture like below
DO NOT de-select
we want to keep the little marching ants going around it for now
Click on EFFECTS 3D EFFECTS DROP SHADOW
Fill in as below then click OK
You will now have this
To de-select the marching ants
Click Ctrl D on your keyboard
You have just revised your background
SAVE YOUR WORK
Click FILE SAVE AS
Save as PNG and name it different from the original one.
