For this tutorial we will be downloading and installing
a filter/plug-in from the following site..
http://www.mehdiplugins.com/english/eraserclassic.htm
The filter – ERASER CLASSIC
Go to the site above
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on DOWNLOAD NOW
Click SAVE
Find the folder JASC SOFTWARE – PAINT SHOP PRO 9
(or whichever one you have – 7/8/10)
Highlight it and click OPEN
Find PLUG-INS and HIGHLIGHT – click OPEN
In the next box click SAVE
When the download is complete click OPEN FOLDER
Find the folder “eraserclassic” RIGHT CLICK – EXTRACT ALL
(I use winzip)
Now work your way through your extraction wizard by clicking
Next next next finish…
Now you can close all the extra windows…

OPEN PAINT SHOP PRO
Click FILE – PREFERENCES – FILE LOCATIONS
You will see this box below – tick the same little boxes as the picture
Then Click ADD for PSP9
here it is for PSP7
Click PLUG-INS - BROWSE & continue on

Find your Paint Shop Pro (Jasc Software)
Click on the little [+] by PlugIns – then highlight “eraserclassic”
Click OK
The window should now have the “eraserclassic” in the view box
Click OK for PSP9
For PSP7 - CLICK OK
Now go back and get the Eraser Genuine too :)
Just repeat the steps for any filter you want
Filter plug-ins will not work until you have an image open and ready
Plug-ins are found under the image tab
LET’S TRY IT OUT
Right click and save this graphic to a picture file on your computer
Open it in PSP
Click – EFFECTS – PLUG-INS – MEHDI - ERASERCLASSIC
If you get an error box
Double click on the BACKGROUND under the layers box and follow it through.
Turning it into a RASTER LAYER
BEFORE AFTER
Now try again…
EFFECTS – PLUG-INGS - MEHDI – ERASERCLASSIC
Play around with the TOLERANCE sliderbar
until the background is 100 percent transparent.
When it is how you want it click OK
SAVE AS *PNG – OR – PUT IT IN YOUR PICTURE TUBES
To put it in the tubes folder
click FILE – EXPORT – PICTURE TUBES – name it – click OK
