Verbalize BSI precautions.
Scene Size-up
Determine the scene is safe.
Determine mechanism of injury.
Determine paitent number.
Request help, if needed.
Consider spine stabalization.
Initial Assessment
Verbalize general impression of paitent.
Determine responsiveness.
Determine chief complaint/apparent life threats.
Assess airway and breathing. (bag 'em)
Assess circulation. (control bleeding, check pulse and skin)
Identify paitent priority.
Rapid Trauma Assessment
Begin rapid assessment.
Obtain or direct to obtain vitals.
Obtain S.A.M.P.L.E.
Detailed Physical Exam
Assess head, neck chest, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, posterior. (do in order, attaching a c-collar after assessing the neck, attaching a long spineboard after assessing the posterior)
Manage secondary wounds.
Reassess vitals.
