I had a contest a few months back and someone wrote something that pooled at my heart strings.. I have asked for their permission to put it on my page and they have agreed.. Please take the time to read it..
Daddy I need you to stay stronger,
I cannot hold my pen much longer.
The words no longer come to me,
Please write them down and set me free.
I know it’s hard but Daddy keep on writing,
It is my wish that you keep on fighting.
I’d love to sit and dictate to you,
Let me send all my thoughts through you.
Daddy please don’t say goodbye,
You know I did not want to die.
Your thoughts are with me everyday,
I know you love me in every way.
You know I hear your anguished cries,
It does not come as a surprise.
That you think of me all day long,
Reminds me that I still belong.
Why did life desert me at such a tender age?
I’ve begun a brand new chapter but I can’t turn the page.
My life story has ended; I can write no more,
Although I keep on knocking, I’m trapped behind this door.
So Daddy keep on writing, I am all alone,
There is no one to talk to; I do not have a phone.
Tell me that you miss me; it’s what I need to hear,
I wish that you could kiss me; I want you to be here.
So Daddy keep on writing; there is so much to tell,
You’ve only scratched the surface when you sit and spell.
I know it’s hard for you but there is no perspiration,
As long as you keep writing I’ll be your inspiration.
So Daddy keep on writing, you could never know,
All the things I had, yet nothing here to show.
Everything is the same; it really doesn’t change,
It is so very different and so very strange.
Daddy, things must seem like they could not be worse,
You lift my heart and spirit with each and every verse
Daddy the words no longer come to me,
Please write them down and set me free.

I see why this tugged at your heart my dear sister. this speaks volumes.. words escape me at this moment. but I will try. missing a child after a loss is so hard. sometimes the only to keep memories alive at least for me [regarding my baby girl] is to write. the more I write, the more I remember. its a way sometimes the only way that I have.
this poem really hit home and yes it really tugged at my heart. excellent poem
thank you for giving me the chance to read it.

yes.. I agree with you about remembering through writing about the person you lost.. I created that contest because I lost my child the night before and he wrote this and I just had to have it on my page!
