Random Poems Picked From All Kinds Of Sections!

Each Month Kari aka ( -kaleidoscope- ) or I will be putting random poems in this column from the most popular features on the site. This will help new members get familiar with the site, and also remind old members of them. Every month will be a surprise of who gets picked and no one will know until it's up!
We hope that you all enjoy the reminders, and the column. Each poem that is put in the column will also be spotlighted on the front page as a special thank you for your work.
Now if your poem is here and you would like it removed please feel free and IM Kari or me!

The first section I would like to talk about is the reward section. Here in this section most of the comments are critiques.

You can find this section with following this link :

Rock Bottom

by Ale E

Messes and secrets
They're all covered up with lies.
They'll do anything
So it won't reach citizen eyes.

They sugarcoat the truth
And tell us what is right.
They brain wash us all
So back we won't fight.

Of course, the human government
Will never be a perfection.
Just look at Chaves and Castro
Filling their nation with infection.

Look at the world around you
My, what a shame!
East to West, North to South
We're all to blame.

The nations are falling and falling
Hitting rokc bottom fast.
Their' leaders having no care
For the present, future, or past.

Native Tongue

By poeticweaver

Poetic tribes scrawl their text into stone

chiseling pieces of stories with bone

secretive verses of symbols unfurled

languages squawked from a spritual world

Whispers flow upon fused wings of four hawks

breaths to breezes, spin a thesis of talks

gibberish is those of an ancient tongue

shadows we followed where souls we're among

Pivot foot swings on historical hinge

honesty fades when grim spirits infringe

nature unveils, mythical melodies

let peace prevail from our ancestor's pleas

No matter the challenge of change we long

Languages of light, let's sing their love song

Then there is the featured section! A lot of people love this section.

It is found on the right hand side on top of the chatterbox.

Sanctuary (Villanelle)

by Elfin

Replenishing and mending lost control
is eased by seeking out a quiet space
beside the gentle waters of console

where soothing ripples ease a weary soul
and wash away the anguish and disgrace.
Replenishing and mending lost control

floods the system with a future goal,
thoughts and actions swirl and interlace
beside the gentle waters of console.

Drowning sorrow in a yawning hole
destroys another hurdle in the race,
replenishing and mending lost control

making both a mind and body whole.
Conquering derangements tight embrace
beside the gentle waters of console,

No better place to rest a weary soul
than in the flood of nature’s healing grace,
replenishing and mending lost control
beside the gentle waters of console.

Fly Free

by twilightcrowfight

Fly free
High above the clouds
Fly free
Lose your worries and your doubts.
Fly free
Perhaps never to return
Fly free
And let the bridges burn.

A tribute to a great man

by nobodyknowsher

What happened to always being there?
To tease and harrass me without a care
You were supposed to watch me become a bride
I never got to go into a mailtruck for a ride
What will I do without you?
There are so many things I'll never get to say or do
I really hoped you would live, Every night I would pray
We never did get to have our "sleepover" one day
I'll always remember how you taught me "At the bar At the bar"
And the stories you would tell driving in our car
You always had a dollar to give to a kid
Or a prank to pull, That you did
Even when you were lying down sick in bed
"Im doing good" was the only words of yourself that you said
You were a good person, A great man
I dont know a single person who wouldnt call themself a fan
There are few in the world who are just like you
I think only God himself could fill your shoe
You lived a good life and made the best of it
You were so strong even when you couldnt do much but sit
Grandaddy, You were one of the best men I have ever known
And without you everyone will feel very much alone
So with this tear I'll tell you goodbye
And I'll leave you to meet God in the Heaven so high
I can only hope I'll grow up like you
Goodbye Grandaddy
I love you.

  • Interesting

Great idea, but it will probably turn out like most of the contests on this site. People picking people they like. Good Luck ~Rev. Dragon Raven

That's not the case. We take awhile and spend hours before deciding who. I only know one person up there actually and that's kind of. The poems I can reassure you aren't chosen from favoritism and won't be

    Paul
  • Do you just pick random ones? Or are they of people that you like?
    • They are picked randomly from the sections listed above. Of course I read them, and see if they are worthy and of course within the site rules and Anyone of Any age can read them

      Kari aka -kaleidoscope-
and myself will do this once a month to help everyone see the different sections of the site and help new members get aquainted with it as well as remind the ones who have been here for a while Hope that helps!

      Thanks for reading!
