India Poised

There are two Indias in this country - One India is straining at the leash, eager to spring forth and live up to all the adjectives that the world has been recently showering upon us. The other India is the leash. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiItWDN2Cs8

There are two Indias in this country - One India is straining at the leash, eager to spring forth and live up to all the adjectives that the world has been recently showering upon us. The other India is the leash.

One India says, give me a chance and I'll prove myself. The other India says, prove yourself first and maybe then you'll have a chance. One India lives in the optimism of our hearts. The other India lurks in the skepticism of our minds. One India wants. The other India hopes. One India leads. The other India follows.

These conversions are on the rise. With each passing day more and more people from the other India have been coming over to this side. And quietly, while the world is not looking, a pulsating, dynamic new India is emerging. An India whose faith in success is far greater than its fear in failure. An India that no longer boycotts foreign-made goods but buys out the companies that make them instead.

History, they say, is a bad motorist. It rarely ever signals its intentions when it is taking a turn. This is that rarely-ever moment. History is turning a page.

For over than half a century, our nation has sprung, stumbled, run, fallen, rolled over, got up, dusted herself and cantered, sometimes lurched on.
But today, as we begin out 60th year as a free nation, the ride has brought us to the edge of time's great precipice. And one India- a tiny little voice at the back of the head- is looking down at the bottom of the ravine and hesitating.

The other India is looking up at the sky and saying, it's time to fly.

(I did not write this- so don't give me credit. Give me nothing, lol. I think I put the link up there on top)

Good for you, my country is in the middle of a great conversion too, a failed confidence, failed leadership; and npw a new era. Many dangers but fear of failure is worse than failure it is the past the hobbles the steps needed to move forward. It seems yo have a vision of your country, it also seems that you are reaching for wisdom and understanding here, i think it is wonderful ... PK

And I say it's Indians that make India great. There are more great souls in India than any country I know. Wisdom in the world is sorely lacking, but the saints of India have kept and lived the timeless wisdom of the ages-- they are the true custodians of faith.

Namita, the way you structured your sentences here is exceptional - figuratively and essentially majestic.

You were able to give an opinion that coincide with thoughts and opinions.

    Bravo my...bravo

-aye, what a wonderful introduction. loved the leash bit, man.

    -we begin out 60th year
    our?

    -very nice ending sentence.

man, it's coming. it's coming. only problem is, i don't know whether the coming will be stable. what with that idiotic leader in maharashtra saying shit about biharis. and the constant tension about the religions. people wanting piece for a different country. india is a mixture of hazardous chemicals as well. they can either explode or buffer. i hope to see it blossom instead one day. i may move to darjeeling then wanna come? we'll grow tea and take hikes to the himlayas. mediatate with bhuddist monks and play around with the street children. and we can finally sleep well, huh? mountains. and the cold won't be bitter, now will it? it'll be all good. let's hope it blooms.
