A new small feature is the browsing history at the bottom of the page. It shows the last 4 pages you've visited. Some seem to find it useful, and some not so much - what group do you belong to?
I find it interesting to see where I've been, though perhaps a longer-time format would be even more interesting...

I haven't used it to access where I have been as yet but it may be useful and as it's optional it leaves those who prefer to use the back button to do so and those that prefer to access via the new browsing history feature free to do so. As it's so small not everyone is aware of it as yet. It is nice to know that you are actively seeking and creating new features and asking for feedback, interaction and communication are part and parcel of what makes allpoetry a cut above the rest of so many other poetry sites.

I have to say this seems like something to fix a problem that doesn't exist.
When I'm browsing around and see something I like I can use a bookmark.
When I find a user I want to revisit regulalry I can use the friends list.
When I want to retrace my steps in a session I can use my browser's back button.

Uh, isn't that what the back button is for?
-
Thanks Kevin. If I can remember it's down there to use. It might just prevent me constantly resigning onto AP"s site. Hitting return key most times throws me off and I have to relog in.~Suseann

I liked it, but to be honest I forget it's there it's so small. But yes, I do agree with everyonelse, a longer time frame would be better.
-
Longer time format would be best. But I do like that it isn't in your face.... that's a good thing.

I think it's cool that we have the choice of the four last pages. It saves having to hit the back button loads of times. It's placed in an out of the way place so it isn't in your face. So Yeah, keep it
-
Quite like it. It's so small and inoffensive that if you don't use it it can't bother you

I vote keep it.

It is useful instead of using back command always.Handy too...

FAB!

I see how it works now, it takes me back to the sites I've been on. Thank you Kevin.

Do you have to be a GOLD member to use History because I can't click on it?
-
Not sure I will use it that often, but might come in handy once in a while. Always something new. Not a bad thing.
-
could be useful more so when ive been visiting the groups im on
-
I have "history" in my computer, so I don't exactly get its purpose.
-
-
It doesn't appear that most people realise that their internet browser has been able to do this since forever.
Moderately sad, actually.

Cancel my last comment there. I found it and it might be useful.

Only for gold members? I couldn't find it.

very useful

I think it is very useful.

Glad to be alerted this is there
Been using Browser BACK function frequently -- especially to return to other's Author Pages for going down the line of their "Focused On" poems, as they consider these their best (I assume?), and these poems don't usually have a Next function as a List nor are they in consecutive order in the main listing. This will be very handy especially for this and when jumping around to different poets to return to the earlier one. -
I just noticed it last night
But I find it could be very useful instead of hitting the back button over and over again.
-
that would be so useful!!
-
I haven't had use for it yet, but my browser crashes every once in a while, and I'm certain that eventually due to that I will have use for it.
-
I like it and it will come in very handy
thanks

Works for me!!! Anything that makes browsing (and re-browsing) easier is dandy!!!!
-
I really like this one!!! I am rather surprised at how often I have found myself using it
-
I am indifferent, really. I ususally just hit backspace to get to previous pages
