Self-Mutilation, A Growing Problem, or Dangerous Fad?

This is a research project I'm doing, and I think the title summs it up pretty well. The end of the project has to culminate in an Argumentative Essay. Now, I'm not going to share my side of the arguement just yet, but this is where you come in: Can you share with me your opinions, stories, facts (where you got said facts, so I can check your sources) and possibly give me your name, so I may give you credit needed if I use your experiences or opinions (If you need to feel more comfortable, you can send me your name via private message...) I know it's supposed to be a "personal interveiw" but there's only so many people I can think of that have strong opinions on this topic. in contest form: no fights please.
