This has such a classic 40's look to it. I love the power of red and those big floppy brimmed hats that add an aura of mystery to a woman's face. They add character, don't you think? However, I much prefer the wind in my hair, so I was a miserable excuse of a Red Hat Society woman. Didn't last long... ~ Karen

The colors for the Red Hat Society are red and purple. Can you incorporate purple into this? Nice border!

Thanks. I tried several colors, and this was the one that looked best. I tried picking up some of the colors in the butterfly, but I never got the exact color I wanted. I have the background only in my files, and I'm still working on it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Heard of the "red hat" society? I think it's a group of women, upwardly mobile of course, who get together all wearing red hats and do who knows what. But anyway this reminded me of that and that I still have a story somewhere half written about them.

It's looks fine, quite stylish, make all the hats red and I can use it for my story.

I went to a couple of meeting of the Red Hat Society... found out I'm just not "society" oriented! Would much rather run around barefoot, wearing no hat at all, with a book of yem's poems in hand to make me smile. Did you finish the story... I want to read it! ~ K.

Hey KL, I have the story somewhere in a notebook. I'll look it up and post it when I finish it. It's about a recurring heroine of mine, "Bubbles" and she is like you, just not meant to be social and certainly no follower.

I've heard of the red hat society as well, probably in the upper Northeast area. I found these pictures and just loved them. Yes, use it if you would like. I don't mind anyone using my work. Besides, I like seeing it on other people's work. Hugs, Patricia
