The Graveyard

I wrote this a while ago and it was basically for about descriptive paragraphs in one of my classes and this is what I got. So I hope everyone enjoys it.
The ground glistened with dew that shimmered like crystals. It sparkled everywhere: on the half dead grass, roses laid out from visiting friends and families, and ground swarming weeds. As I took slow, paced steps past the barrier of which held the cries of the dead inside; the earth crunched as the cold, hard soil broke beneath my tattered shoes. The wind blew and a chill slipped down my vertebras, making my body shiver as if something were breathing down my neck. My eyes danced across the gray, shattered tombstones of the lifeless bodies below. The branches on the trees reached out and swung like fingers trying to seize you. An eerie feeling ran through my body. Decay reached my nose and I scrunched my face as the scent spilled over me at last. I swayed and nearly fell from the sordid aroma. Gagging, I put my hand to my face and walked deeper yet into the darkened home of the dead. A foul tang covered my tongue as I breathed in. I shut my mouth quickly. I stopped and looked at the closest tombstone near me. My hand shook as I reached out and touched its frozen stone. Moss and slime stuck to my fingers as I pulled away. I looked around one last time before I left.
