Hi Everyone!
Most of you have had the opportunity to read my writings and ramblings through the years so I just wanted to share some very good news with you.
This week I received final confirmation that I will have my piece included in a new 2007 edition of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Christmas Collection.
Publication is available in bookstores Nov. 01.
I'm pretty excited! It is the first piece that I will actually get paid for! I guess you just have to start somewhere and to be included in a best-selling series is the icing on the cake.
Submitting my writing for the world to read was a very big step outside of my comfort zone.
I guess I can now officially say "I am an author/writer"!
Daring, sometimes you must just do it!

Being published for the first time and being paid for it is truly an accomplishment! CONGRATULATIONS!
I remember my first publication it is an invigorating feeling. We writers put a lot of time into what we write it is hard work.
I believe a person can consider themselves an author if they 1). Love to write 2). Work on their writing--to improve on it, revising and 3). When a person discovers that, they "must," write in order to breathe. The publication is a bonus.
