Leaving/taking a break and my future plans

I don't know where else to make this announcement so I figured here's as good as any.
I first of all want to thank everyone who has helped me blossom here and everyone who has inspired me with beautiful writing and helpful comments. This was the first place I shared my poetry publicly and it was a very big risk for me. I got enormous acceptance here and that encouraged me to keep at it. Here I went from 15 poems to 118!

I'm leaving because my time here has peaked and I'm looking for something more. (I'll be on another site mainly) Also, my works haven't really been read lately and I haven't had much luck with rewards and featured poems anyway. And I don't have much time/inspiration to read other works and comment (I know this probably sounds very selfish of me), so why should I expected to have my works read and receive comments?

I'm not deleting my account and I'm not going to stop writing, I'm just not going to be active anymore, or at least for awhile.

If any of you are curious, here's what I'm doing
As far as my future plans, I'm changing my path a bit. I'm graduating with a music performance degree in a week but this year I decided I want to do something more emotionally healing and something that will combine my love for music and art with psychology and my compassion for humanity, and my talent at writing.

I found a field called expressive arts therapy and if you're curious, you should try googling it and seeing what it's all about. I'm sure many of you know what art and music therapy are. Expressive arts therapy is like that but it makes use of all the arts modalities including poetry. I'm planning on getting my masters in that after I take a year off and earn some money and get my required prerequisites.
I'd also like to form a chamber music group and publish my poetry later. I'll find a way to tie that in.

If any of you want to keep in touch, just email me and if anyone's still interested in reading my poetry in th future (I haven't written anything new yet), just ask what site I'm on and I'll tell you.

Thanks again for all the support and inspiration and keep in touch!

    Best Wishes Dear

    HI,
I have not been on this site as well for some time as well. Moving half way around the world to Australia has been a major change, and I am still adjusting. However, Amanda and I are together and I am very happy. There is some goverment "Red Tape" issues before I can begin teaching, but I don not forsee many problems. There is only a time period that I must abide by before finishing my training and begin earning money.

Since the first day you joined AP, I have loved your poetry and made you one of my favorites. I am glad that you are keeping your page open. You may not realize this, but you will be missed.

However, I admire your dedication to pursue your dreams. We make our own destinies and I know that you will reach your goals. We are alike in this manner. I changed my entire life to find happiness and go on to complete my goals. I love my new home in the land called "OZ." I wish you the very best.

    God Bless
    Love,
    Bo

It's good to have a path to follow and I kind of envy you because I'm terrible in making those paths... I just live one day at a time and it doesn't seem to take me anywhere... lol

I'm happy to hear your going to be doing something you really like. And I'm happy to hear that you're not deleting your account as there's a lot poetry from you that I haven't had the time to read yet. All the good to you in life
