when thinking of immortality (yet again) i stumble upon a crucial question. many questions actually...
what remains of us after we're long gone and burried ?
is it our achievments ? our work ? our influence ? the memory of us in the survivors' minds ?
and if it is, how do we get there ?
how do we carve the etrenal image of our mortal selves in the global conscience of ages ?
how do we make history ?
i've thought that we should first work on ourselves before trying to change the world.eventually we will, but each deed at it's own time...
we should learn first,experience things,all of things,excel in the art of adaptation,discovering ourselves, who we are, what we are made of, what we want.
it's about achieving some kind of maturity i guess,obtaining wisdom, evolving...
the moment we are able to surpass ourselves i believe we'll be ready to reach out and through to others.
i'll change this world one day,i promise.

The all and ever lasting quest of man of humanity...
well, i don't wanna die before i make myself heard... but hey who cares? so why keep wondering any how?
and u know what? its true that immortality is not form this world, but i belive that my thoughts and my writings on this site.... will forever keep me immortal... even more... i will never die ... we shall never die in the eyes of people who love us and i mean truly LOVE us...

wut happens in our life is wut matters, nd it matters to us not to others .. i'd rather live a beautiful life nd be forgotten than havin the rough one ever nd be remembered ..

I find your idea that it could have to do with our achievement, our work , our influence quite interesting.
I don´t know the answer, and nobody does. I can sure say that we will stay in the thoughts and memories of the persons who love us. But actually that means being forgotten after two generations. That´s a dilemma. However, you said that perhaps our influence will stay, so perhaps through education of our children…
I guess generations have thought about it and never found a solution. Thanks for reminding me of that thoughts through your write.

i started by reading the comments of rana and hana b4 the column, and i was a bit scared.lol
u want to change the world, its intimidating.
but after i read the column , i understood, and its quit a good plan,
thats what i love about reading poems and columns on this site,
