Hey everyone... I would hold a contest for this but I don't have enough points left...
I need some poems of the following forms:
Limericks
Shape
Quatrain (any poem with a four line stanza and rhyming scheme... "aabb or abba or aaba bbcb ccdc")
Monorhyme
These poems will be used as examples for a lesson to 7th and 8th graders on poetry forms so please keep it clean... if you have any that you would like to share, leave a link in your comment...
Thank you,

Another monorhyme
Veronica Leigh
Come my fellows and you shall see
A vision of Veronica Leigh.
When you've seen, you'll have to agree,
There is no one as fair as she.
A gymnast she, with flips and spins.
A horsewoman too, with lots of wins.
Good at each of these disciplines,
That is where her story begins.
As a small girl, tennis her game.
But then there were horses to tame.
Hunting, jumping, seeking her fame.
Then it happened, oh what a shame.
Riding on Doc who liked to buck,
Veronica Leigh ran out of luck.
All those who watched were horrorstruck,
As she left in the big red truck.
Eight long weeks in a tight wheelchair,
A body cast she had to wear.
Still, she was riding Doc, howe'er.
Life was suddenly so unfair.
At 16 years her life had changed,
Priorities now rearranged.
This brand new life now seemed so strange,
Rest, for action, had been exchanged.
Shooting skeet till her shoulder's sore,
And still wanting to shoot some more.
Ear plugs in to quiet the roar,
Poor little girl can't hear the score.
At 90 plus the tire did blow,
The frightened pair would later know
That it was not their time to go.
To those who saw twas quite a show.
That's a bit 'bout Veronica Leigh,
One day she'll be on ABC
Riding a horse called Doc or Dee
Being all she was meant to be.

Limmerick
I once knew a blond from McMaster
Who was trying to run a lot faster
When she finished the race
She was stuck in last place
The whole thing was quite a disaster

here's a shape poem: (officially known as 'concrete' poems): http://allpoetry.com/poem/1999694

I once knew a young fellow named Bob,
he was quite the persnickety slob,
He liked all his riches
without any hitches
like that thing about getting a job!
Hope you can have a contest if you like!
Sendings Hugz and points!

Bless your Sweet Soul
Talk about perfect timing; I was just thinking of studying and doing a limerick, since my new vocation is studying to be a children's author. Also, I have plenty of point that I don't use and really don't know what to do with them. But I might have to wait till tomorrow, because I'm not sure how to give you these points; and my flat-mate could help me. But if you should direct me sooner, as to how to give you the points you need, I'll be glad to oblige.
Faithful regards,
~Milly
