Often we have a narrow view of what constitutes fan fiction. Well, this contest is about putting those biases to rest. If a writer is a fan of anything, the creative mind can create fiction surrounding it.
This contest is all inclusive. We will NOT tell you what you are to be a fan of. We will NOT limit your "fandom" by giving you a list of "appropriate" subject matter. We will NOT tell you it is impossible to be a fan of your favorite Crayola color if you manage to write a fan fiction with it as the main character in a sordid battle with Superglue.

Can't thank you enough for the recognition for my story "Spirits of '76". It has warm meaning to me because a little of the story is true. (As most fiction is). I remember Hill St. I remember it being closed when I was a child so that we could sleigh ride. Your kind consideration is a joy to me! -

I have written a few short stories. This sounds pretty interesting. I'll see what I can bring forth. This seems like a good away to get people to visit Storywrite. Great idea! I hope you get lots of entries. I am going to check it out now.
