We constantly contradict ourselves, struggling to find appropriate words. Such is the case with being hypocritical- saying things that are completely apart from what was previously said. But if all ideas were constant, diversity would cease to exist. Conformity would reign, extinguishing all growth of ideas and viewpoints. Changing opinions is one of the things that leads to evolution, for if we remained the same, closeminded perople, there would be no branches of belief to hang onto, and we would remain the same intolerant people as at the beginning of time.
Or would we? Who's to say that modern viewpoints are more monumentally tolerant than those of ancient humans? Back when the rules were eat, sleep, and mate, what kind of viewpoints existed to cause fights? Perhaps animals are more tolerant than we so-called evolved humans, considering their boundless compatability. I've never heard of a tiger committing a hate crime just because someone had smaller stripes. In nature, the roots are clear: survival of the firrest. If an animal cooperates and can survive on its own [excluding younger animals, of course] then all is well and good. Animals have less of an inferiority complex than humans, although anthropomorphism may demand otherwise.
No aspect of life is perfect, except perhaps death. But still, we consider ourselves to be the top species, yet we are killing ourselves and the planet. As time has gone on, the more we cain in technological and scientific intelligence, the more we lose in common sense and concern. That's the fate of anyone on "top." THere are ways when the rop is too far from the rest. When the ascend begings, the crash draws nearer.
Thus is the process of life- as your prime passes, death drawes nearer. Or maybe humans just like to explain things through cycles to add pieces to the puzzle.
I've never heard of a tiger committing a hate crime just because someone had smaller stripes.
