High School and The Price To Pay

Different people coming together in one place and are supposed to be united with one another but, in reality it doesn't ever work that way. People have different values based on morals, religion, and different lifestyles and social environments. This makes high school what it is today.

We have cheerleaders, jocks, preps, prep wannabe's, punks, goths, skaters, hipsters, rednecks(sorry, but true), school whores, white trash, minority trash, backstabbers, special ed's, misunderstood, drama and band people, geeks, nerds. But, without all the different groups high school is never what it is suppose to be.

The nerds are supposed to be the successful ones that are what people expect them to be. The jocks, cheerleaders, and preps are suppose to be fat, bald and just plain ugly that's what people expect from them.

We all live by a stereotype that is hard to be able to break that mold and it's very difficult to do when you belong to a certain group for four years of your life, maybe more. I just wish that people could just see the differences and embrace those differences for the better and maybe we all could learn to be better people.

On the other hand some people live by the stereotypes and makes it a lot hard to identify themselves as a individual person because they hid behind the stereotypes and don't know exactly who they are.

When you look in the mirror you should just ask

"Who am I?"

You may be surprised by your answer.

Not as rare as some might believe, I am one of those who disdain who stereo-typing. All it does is set one up for failure by putting a standard to which an individual must try to live up to. While there is much to be said for the reasons we choose this person over that, we are unique and should live under the influence of anyone's opinion but our own
