New Age Decisions; Religion and You

This is just my view on religion. I think that we have been misled in so many directions that it's unreal. We need to start following what we feel... what we hear that makes sense. The rules that the church keeps giving is too complex to make heads or tails over.
Disrupt the "order"? This "order" you talk about is just a matter of your own convenience!! Using "God" as an "order" to control the people is absurd. You have no right to take advantage of the innocent. - Delita Hyral, Final Fantasy Tactics

Throughout our life, we hear the same thing over and over, no matter what the topic, it seems in our daily lives; God. This omnipotent being is said to be able to see and know all, and is responsible for the many miracles that we see and have seen. There is a book fully devoted to the greatness of this one being. He sent his own son down from heaven to die for us, ultimately washing away our sins and declaring us privileged to go to heaven if we chose to accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour. But what if there isn't anything there? What if what we worship is a fabricated all powerful being?

Many of you will stop at that last sentence, but those of you that continue will slowly want to know more because by the word of the Bible, we are doomed to spend an eternity in hell, burning in the Lake of Fire for our sins. We want to believe that there isn't a place like that where the choices we make in this life. It’s a looming cloud of death over our heads, and in honesty, I really don’t want to go.

“"God" is an image created out of man's insecurities." - Wiegraf Folles, Final Fantasy Tactics

To an extent, at one point or another, throughout our existence, we all think this. Have you ever wondered about things concerning the separate sects that divide the religious faith? Like, where it originated? We have so many different beliefs that when you move to a different denomination, the rules can be an almost completely different belief. For instance, angelology is an accepted field of study in the Catholic belief, but every other belief (with the exception of Islaam and Judaism) believes in the angels of god, just not Catechistic Angelology, which is acceptable, because the Catechism is contained mostly to the Catholic denomination. In the Bible, there is no such mention of any differentiations in religion such as we have it. There… is… nothing… mentioned. It makes you wonder what else we don’t know about, don’t you think?

Let’s also add this to the fact that in the Bible, it does not specifically say that you must attend church. That’s another little known fact that no one hears about. You can enjoy the Word of God at home, but we have made it to where it is a must to go to church on Sunday and Wednesday to pay homage to God. I’m sorry, but at this point it becomes almost a habit to start double checking your Bible scriptures, huh?

Let’s also say that there were books that others wrote that never made it to the Bible because the church at the time did not allow them because of their text. For example, the book that was written by Enoch, the human form of the Seraphim Metatron before he was raised to be heaven’s scribe. His book is not accepted in the Bible because of the text inside, which is viewed as horrific in terms of text. They’re scared of the writings, basically. And that isn’t the only one. Many other books, such as the books of Jasher, Wars of the Lord, Key of Solomon, and so on and so forth, are not included into the current Bible.

We can’t even agree on the true name of Saitin. Satiin, for example, is not the highest on the chain in hell (underworld, whatever gets you off). Lucifer is said to be three different people (Saitin, Lucifer, and Samael), but then again, none at all. It doesn’t make sense.

So, in short, I say that the men of the world have spun for us a happy way to look at the events that occurred before us, but has left us incomplete in the long run. We cannot continue this way if we wish for salvation. Look to the Lord if you want the truth; you don’t have to go to church for it. Pray to him on your own, if you wish, and wait for him to answer you. I promise, it’ll be truthful it if comes from him. Like I said before, I believe that there is a God, or at least a higher power, that governs and protects us. But you have to work for the salvation at the end of the road, you can’t hope for someone else to do it for you. Make your own choices!

Here are a few poems for you to ponder over from one of my friends. If you get interested, please read and think on it for yourself

    Truth be told

My dear you are absolutely on the right track...no one can dispute the presence of some higher power, call it any name, Lord Jesus, Jehovah, Lord Krishna, Allah or any other name...the bottom line is the truth comes from that higher power directly, the best way to get your questions answered. Went to Catholic school all my life, being a child of a hindu & sikh and have first cousins as muslium and Christians...I've had the blessings beyond my wildest imaginations. After all that, took religion class to further my knowledge...at the end I found, all religions have the same philosophy in their own way...what I understood that all the books on religion have been passed along with the interpretations of the writer (like prohets & priests)to satisfy the times when the version was written...as the times changed, the books became more of twisted political interpretations of religion to persuade people & exploit their sentiments...The religious heads are no one other than the political leaders who are definitely not saying the words spoken by higher power, at least currently the way the world is going...so if we want salvation, we have to work our way and make our own choices, you are right about this...no one can wash away our created sins...we need to take our responsibilities for our own actions...the unrefutable truth is there is higher power and to know the truthful answers to our questions only can be answered by this power...patience, faith & inquisite mind is all we need to talk to the higher power be it anywhere, anytime, as long as it comes from the bottom of your heart.

I completely get where you are coming from with this and I agree with most of it. I don't go to church that often but I pray sometimes and I believe in God. I try to be a good person even though I know some of the things I do aren't exactly good. And sometimes I get scared that there might be nothing after this. Sometimes I even lose sleep over that thought. I mean if there ends up being nothing are you just gone forever? Sorry, didn't mean to ramble. Those are my thoughts on the matter. I do have more but I don't feel like writing them now. If you want my full opinion then just message me sometime.

hmm..there are a couple questionalble things here, i think. i was raised catholic but that is the last thing i want to be now. i dont believe there is one specific way to worship or even view god. and i wish my parents could have known that. i was forced to waste so many sundays of my life to this rligion constructed by people that only want others to follow them, not because they have a shared love for a god that they believe in. i cant believe that i had not seen it before. religion is what you make of it. before i thought i was being unfaithfull and was going to go strait to hell but now i know that catholic beliefs just dont fit me. it makes me sad to think that my parents would shove religion down my throat in hopes that i would grow up like them and be a good little girl. in a sense it did work in the affter effect i have tried every thing in my power to get away from the good girl image. i have been bad just to prove to my parents that their efforts are futile. in any case, you make sense. you seem a little pissed off about organized religion. i agree with you that reliogion should be about how you feel, not what others have planned for you. i would consider my self more of a witch that a catholic now, which is funny because if this were, what, the 1600s i would be burned at the stake. thank god for human evelution. thanks for the insite, and i am just glad that i am not the only one that thinks about this shit.

The only truths are from God himself. As you said, if we want truth, we just need to ask him. This seems like a good write and I'm going to go over it again to make sure everything is cool.

    Later!!

Alright. I know some of this (very small portions, extremely small) may not be agreed with, but I read over it and over it and over it just to make sure, so it should be good. Anyway, thank you for commenting!
